The G Expedition is a perfectly sized and designed ship for exploring the Antarctic and Arctic regions. Refurbished in 2009, the ship holds up to 134 passengers and features spacious and warm public areas and excellent facilities and equipment.

The polar regions are incredible but also dangerous which is why the ship is designed to Ice Class 1B specifications and is equipped with forward-facing sonar, four lifeboats and full immersion cold weather survival suits, so that guests can explore without worry.

Cuisine and Dining on G Expedition

The ship is equipped with a single well-appointed restaurant situated perfectly on the bow of deck 5, offering great views over the arctic scenery as guests dine on sumptuous international cuisine.

Spa & Fitness on G Expedition

As the polar regions are heavily focused on a high level of fitness, the G Expedition is equipped with a gym on the top deck for exercise onboard. To keep your warm and relaxed, a sauna can be found on deck 2 next to the mud room.

Recreation on G Expedition

The main ports of call onboard for relaxing and recreation are the Discovery Lounge and the Polar Bear Pub. The Discovery Lounge is the largest of the two and is comfortably furnished, while the Polar Bear Pub is excellent for a drink and social gatherings onboard.

Guests can also find the Lonely Planet Library next to the Discovery Lounge, which provides a great selection of books to give insight on the region, and a gift shop lies opposite with souvenirs available to browse.

What our customers say

"I booked a Fred Olsen cruise with IGLU last month and was so impressed by the service I received. The staff member I spoke to was Kimberley and she was exemplary. Capable, kind, professional, patient, friendly and knowledgeable. She went through every step of the way calmly and thoroughly. IGLU were recommended to me by friends and I have no hesitation in passing the recommendation along. Well done IGLU and thank you. "

"So easy to deal with, I studied the Cruise I wanted, did my research with different company's and returned to Iglu. I had three quotes matching Iglu’s cost, but with one phone call they beat the price themselves by £40 without me even asking, how easy was that! "
