NCL's Freestyle Cruising is about freedom and flexibility, and when it comes to dining this means you can eat where you want, when you want, with whom you want. You can even dress how you want. With NCL, you're free to do whatever.
With so many restaurants to choose from, you’ll be able to eat at a different restaurant every night of your cruise. There are also six specialty restaurants and dining rooms, so you'll find the perfect dish to satisfy your cravings each meal time.
When it comes to the perfect night on a cruise ship, Norwegian Sky has all the bases covered. If you’re a fan of live events, Stardust Theatre hosts a range of shows from Rock You Tonight, an amazing tribute to rock legends such as Queen and The Who, and Showdown, where guests can get involved and vote for their favourite singer.
Alternatively, a laid-back evening will lead you to one of the many lounges and bars found on the ship, each offering something a little different.
|Spinnaker Lounge||Chilled by day, a dance floor by night|
|Pinnacle Lounge||Serving Japanese beers and stunning views|
|Sugarcane Mojito Bar||Enjoy the perfect mojito|
|Atrium Café and Bar||Sip on a drink at the heart of the ship|
|Bliss Ultra Lounge||Hip and full of energy, time here will fly|
|Champs Bar||Every drink you could want served al fresco at the pool bar|
Norwegian Sky likes to ensure that each and every guest has the time of their life during the cruise, no matter their age. Your kids will have plenty of choices for fun with the Kids Crew program as the staff have tons of activities that will keep them entertained, meaning you'll have time for lounging at the pool or dancing at one of our ultra-chic parties. The Splash Academy, for 3-12 year olds, offers a host of activities, from arts and crafts to sports competitions, so the little ones can have fun and make friends at the same time.
However, holidays are also about spending time together as a family, which is why the Splashes Children Pool is so popular as everyone can enjoy the pool deck together. Alternatively, and often a hit amongst the older kids and parents alike, the video arcade has both retro and modern video games.
If you can’t indulge yourself when you’re on holiday, when can you? The spa onboard Norwegian Sky is perfect for some “me time”, where experienced professionals are waiting to pamper you. Choose from an extensive menu of treatments- including aromatherapy and massage- let those stresses evaporate in the sauna or book in at the salon and feel like a new you.
However, if your idea of relaxation is a good workout, Norwegian Sky also has this covered. Body Waves Fitness Centre is fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, so what are you waiting for? Head over and get that blood pumping! Alternatively, if you like exercise, but don’t enjoy the gym, there are plenty of other options. With a multi-sports court and golf driving net, challenge others to a bit of friendly competition during your cruise.
While the main draw of a cruise may be the amazing destinations you get to visit, this doesn’t mean that you won’t find lots of fun things to do on the ship. Many guests like to head straight to the pool area where they can cool off in the water or sip on a cocktail in one of the many sun loungers, admiring the stunning ocean views. This is always a popular spot on the ship, so you’re guaranteed to feel in amongst the buzz of cruise ship life.
However, if you’d like to escape the hustle and bustle for a while, there are lots of more peaceful spots to discover. The Mark Twain Library is a great place to go to get lost in a book for a few hours, or perhaps you’d rather spend some time browsing through the onboard shops to see if there are any duty-free treats that take your fancy.
We sailed in April 2017 and it was our first time to ever cruise. We didn't take our kids. The ship was great the workers were amazing. Our stateroom guy Benjamin was amazing, so kind hearted and nice. Getting on and off the ship was so easy. I loved that other cruisers were not rude or shoving. Everyone just took there time and no one was rude it was awesome. We will definitely be back with lots of family and friends it was great.
Once we boarded the Norwegian Sky, we went straight to our stateroom. The room had an ocean view and it was a perfect size for us. Our luggage didn't take long to arrive to our room. We went for the Buffet and the pizza was lovely and fresh. We went to the Cagney's steak house and it was worth the extra money. The service of the ship was brilliant. But I find the Broadway shows were a waste of time. All in all, this is a better deal than what some other providers have to offer. And we did have a great time. Happy cruising....
Norwegian Cruise's Norwegian Sky offered us good food throughout the journey. The curry dishes were amazing. The fresh fruit was also very good. Desserts were very attractive and really gave my taste buds a brand new experience. The omelette and waffle station also provided us very yummy snacks. The entertainment was also another best part of the cruise. You must not miss the shows! The stateroom was clean and functional, and we did feel very clean and comfortable. However, the bathroom was not spotless. They could do better in this aspect. Overall, our experience with Norwegian Sky was really quite good.
We attended the Norwegian Sky, and we wasn't that impress with the side of the cabin, to small for our liking. But apart from that the overall experience was ok. As we decided to spent more time out of the cabin, and enjoy all the other activities which it has to offer.
