What's onboard

Dining

A relatively small cruise ship, Le Soleal is home to two restaurants – L’Eclipse, a gastronomic dining experience, and Le Pytheas, a grill venue. Both of these restaurants serve food throughout breakfast, lunch, and dinner; so, everyone onboard will have options when it comes to what they want to eat, no matter the time of day.

In L’Eclipse, you’ll find fine French cuisine and international dishes made with the finest ingredients and access to an incredible ‘wine cellar’. This is a refined experience where Ponant’s elegance shines through. Meanwhile, in Le Pythesas, you can enjoy breakfasts, buffet lunches, and themed dinner menus in a more casual setting. You’ll still enjoy eating in a stylish setting here, and there’s al fresco seating available, but things are a little more laid back.

Entertainment

While sailing aboard Le Soleal, you can enjoy a variety of entertainment options – more than you would expect given the smaller size of this cruise ship. Alongside an impressive multi-purpose auditorium, which has enough seating for all the guests at once, you’ll have the chance to relax in the main lounge, the panoramic lounge on the upper decks, and an al fresco bar overlooking the pool area. In the theatre, the main lounge, and the panoramic lounge, you’ll find a programme of live entertainment – music, informative lectures, and more – available throughout your voyage. The panoramic lounge, which is also home to sensational sea views, also features a Library space for you to take advantage of. So, however you want to spend your time at sea with Le Soleal and Ponant, you’ll find something to entertain you.

Family

Despite the fact that Ponant and Le Soleal are primarily aimed at adults, you’ll find family-friendly entertainment and age-appropriate activities on board, meaning younger guests will be well-occupied while sailing to stunning destinations around the world. From children’s books and board games to interactive activity sessions, a cruise with Le Soleal can be rewarding whatever your age.

It’s worth keeping in mind, though, that children ages 1 year and older can embark on a Ponant cruise, but children must be at least 4 years old to join the Kid’s Club – when this service is offered – and there is a limit of five children between 1 and 6 years old onboard at any one time.

Things to do

Your personal wellness journey is an important part of a Ponant cruise, and Le Soleal is well-equipped to offer a variety of sumptuous spa treatments to those who want to pamper themselves while at sea. You’ll also find a free access Hammam available throughout the day, which is perfect for unwinding after a shore excursion or ahead of your next exciting destination. The fitness studio onboard is also well-equipped to ensure you can continue your workout regime while sailing.
