Dining onboard is delicious, leading guests to embark on a culinary journey like never before, from tantalising Italian cuisine to perfectly-cooked, succulent steaks and accompanying fine wines.
The main dining venue is The Discoveries Restaurant, where a wide variety of international cuisine is served at breakfast, lunch and dinner. With a regularly-changing menu, friendly wait staff and fine decor, diners certainly won't grow tired of enjoying their meals here.
Guests who do feel like trying something different, however, have the option of dining in a few other restaurants. Included in the cruise fare is the Windows Cafe, for more a more casual experience, and The Patio, for poolside dishes such as burgers, wings and fries, and the likes of steak, salmon and ribs in the evenings.
Alternatively, there are two supplementary speciality restaurants onboard. Prime C is an elegant steakhouse serving not only steak but also vegetarian options and fish dishes, or there is the Aqualina Restaurant where guests can treat themselves to a hearty Italian meal of four courses.
The main feature of entertainment onboard Azamara Pursuit are the two nightly showtimes in the Cabaret Lounge. For other live performances, there is a resident pianist in The Den throughout the evening and DJs who turn up the heat in the Living Room after 10pm.
Meanwhile, the ship’s bars and lounges make ideal places to meet up with newfound friends.
The gym and fitness facilities ensure that all who enter will return home feeling invigorated with the help of state-of-the-art equipment, including weights, treadmills and bikes. There is also a menu of exercise classes to take part in, as well as a jogging track on the top deck.
The Sanctum Spa is the next step after a hard workout. Guests can spend time relaxing on the terrace or rejuvenating in the thalassotherapy pool, or even indulge in a treatment such as a massage or even acupuncture. The salon is also close at hand should cruisers want to treat themselves to a manicure, pedicure, hair styling or teeth whitening.
While a cruise with Azamara Pursuit is destination focussed, there are plenty of ways to stay entertained during the day onboard the ship. On sea days, guests can expect everything from trivia, ping-pong and shuffleboard competitions, to live music and dancing by the pool.
For anyone looking to learn more about the destinations they visit, a guest lecturer is on hand to impart their expert knowledge, as well as a travel book library where you can delve even deeper into the culture and history of each port of call.
As well as an art gallery and several shops with lots of duty-free treats, there is a large pool flanked by plenty of comfortable sun loungers, perfect for laying back and relaxing as the hours pass by.
During their cruise, guests will have the chance to experience an AzAmazing Evening. These are complimentary shore excursions designed to give guests the opportunity to experience the best of local culture. Enjoy a romantic evening on a hillside in Tuscany, followed by an evening of live music performances, or see the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra after experiencing red carpet treatment — the AzAmazing Evenings are a superb way of indulging in local delicacies and culture.
An extremely well organised ship with really excellent staff who were unfailingly friendly professional and helpful. Our room steward kept our cabin spotless and it was a pleasure to return to it every night. The waiting staff and chefs would be a credit in a top class restaurant on shore and made every evening a pleasure, likewise the entertainment team were a very enjoyable end to the night.
Have always loved Azamara, but haven't been for years as it can be expensive. Got a great deal from Iglu (it was even cheaper than on the Azamara website!) and had a wonderful time. The ships wasn't full; I think there were only about 500 of us, so no queues and lots of people to meet. The service was excellent and the staff were really friendly and lovely. Would definitely go on another one if there are future deals.
Amazing!
Cruise was excellent. However getting to the ship via Heathrow and return was not great.
