What's onboard

Dining

When it comes to dining on Silver Origin, you’ll be met with two options: The Restaurant, and The Grill.

Offering the highest expression of local cuisine with fantastic flavour-full menus for breakfast, throughout lunch, and into dinner, The Restaurant is an elegant venue where floor-to-ceiling windows offer sweeping sea views and the food is always excellent. You’ll also find a collection of international dishes available here, all of which have been carefully created by a talented culinary team.

Meanwhile, The Grill is a more casual venue with al fresco dining available alongside an equally-excellent menu of Ecuadorian cuisines to indulge in – alongside a variety of international dishes prepared with the freshest ingredients. If you want to add a touch of excitement to your dining experience here, you’ll be able to take advantage of Silversea Cruises’ signature Hot Rocks concept here: a dining experience where you use hot stones to cook your food at your table.

Entertainment

The entertainment options available on Silver Origin are all designed to help you relax and unwind after a busy day exploring, while also still giving you the chance to appreciate the region around you – even when the sun has set.

With this in mind, the Explorer Lounge really is the heart of your evenings onboard; here, you’ll find an enriching entertainment programme of intriguing lectures, informative destination briefings, and low-key live performances from an onboard pianist. With a well-stocked bar and plenty of comfortable seating, you’ll have no trouble spending your downtime socialising with your fellow expedition cruisers either.

However, if you’re looking for somewhere a little less lively and a lot more relaxed, then the forward-facing Observation Lounge is the onboard destination for you. While another excellent option when it comes to finding somewhere to socialise, this cosy venue also boasts sweeping panoramic views of the surrounding scenery through large floor-to-ceiling windows. Enhancing the atmosphere, the sunrise-to-sunset views here are not to be missed.

Family

Silver Origin is not a family-friendly cruise ship, and there are no dedicated children's facilities or services available onboard. However, children over the age of 5 years are allowed onboard. Guests under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult over the age of 21 years in the same or connecting suite.

Things to do

Wellness

Despite its small size, Silver Origin boasts impressive wellness facilities for you to take advantage of while you’re sailing the Galapagos Islands.

If you’re looking to relax and unwind after an exciting day exploring ashore, the Beauty Spa onboard is home to an incredible range of treatments and services that relax both body and mind, with rejuvenating skin therapies and indulgent massages among the options available. You can take this refreshment one step further and treat yourself to a makeover in the Beauty Salon, if you so wish, too. Home to its own range of world-class salon services and treatments, everyone onboard will find something to treat themselves to here.

The active travellers among you will also find a well-equipped Fitness Centre on Silver Origin, the perfect place to maintain your workout routine while sailing around the Galapagos Islands. And, with large floor-to-ceiling windows letting in stunning views of the surrounding scenery, breaking a sweat has never been more rewarding.

Recreation

Beyond the two lounge areas onboard, the Observation Lounge and Explorer Lounge, the recreational activities available on Silver Origin are mostly found in Basecamp: a unique meeting point for shore excursions designed to inform guests of their next adventures and encourage socialising with one another both before and after these exciting experiences.

You’ll also find social spaces ideal for stargazing on Deck 8, and plenty of outdoor seating space on Deck 7; so, you’ll never have any trouble finding somewhere to sit and enjoy the stunning views.

Silver Origin also carries a small fleet of Zodiac watercrafts, all of which are ready and waiting to whisk you away across the water to even more exciting spots ashore. Bringing you even closer to the incredible nature in the Galapagos Islands, Silversea Cruises’ shore experiences are unlike anything else available.
