Cruisers can rest assured that there will be no dull moments onboard Mardi Gras. As well as the thrilling activities available, opportunities to simply sit back and be entertained are also plentiful.

Find live music and pop-up acts in the Grand Central Zone, which is also close to the onboard Punchliner Comedy Club where you’ll laugh until your sides hurt. Those who prefer something more subtle on the other hand should head to La Piazza, where you can spend hours chatting with new friends over a coffee – or a cocktail – while roaming musicians serenade you all.

The French Quarter is home to a wonderful Brass Magnolia jazz bar, where you can relax and sway along to some beautiful renditions of a range of songs. As well as this, find Dive-In movies in the Lido zone where you can get comfy on a lounger under a blanket and settle in for a blockbuster. Otherwise, there are a number of bars and lounges, such as Piano Bar 88, where you can simply enjoy a drink or two while socialising or even dancing along to live music should the mood take you.

Recreation

With an onboard zone known as ‘The Ultimate Playground’, it will come as no surprise to learn that Mardi Gras has an abundance of fun and exciting things to do. As well as pools, whirlpools, and sun loungers, this ship breaks the mould with its activities:

  • BOLT – the first of its kind at sea, thrill-seekers will love this 800-foot long rollercoaster, which reaches a whopping 40mph! Enjoy the views as you whoosh around the outdoor activity zone.
  • Carnival WaterWorks – kids and cruisers young at heart will love the fun activities at the onboard water park, which includes three spiralling slides as well as splash pools and more.
  • SportsSquare – stay active while having a laugh playing basketball, mini-golf (on a full-sized course), and testing your strength on the ropes course.

Those looking for a little retail therapy should head to the French Quarter, where there are some lovely shops. Find the perfect gift to take back to a loved one at home, a souvenir for yourself, or even a fabulous new outfit to wear on a special night onboard.

As well as a well-equipped gym, Mardi Gras boasts the gorgeous Cloud 9 Spa, where guests can really indulge in some ‘me-time’. With a fantastic menu of treatments and a tranquil environment to relax in, those who spend time here will certainly leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
