Useful Information
Dress code
Ruby Princess’s dress code offers you both informal, relaxed evenings and the popular, but less frequent, formal nights. Formal nights are often the highlight of the week with gentlemen donning black tie, and ladies slipping into their favourite elegant dresses. Informal nights onboard have a smart casual dress code, with sport jackets and blazers expected for gents.
Alternatively, if you don't fancy dressing for dinner, or you are tired after a day of shore excursions, you can head to the buffet restaurant, where casual attire is always suitable.

Iglu Cruise customer reviews for Ruby Princess
Cruise ship lovely, sea view room better than I expected. Plenty of room and was cleaned amazingly. Loads of storage for everything. Hairdryer not the best , will take my own next time. I little short of electric plugs but got by. Food good , but not amazing, but I didn’t go hungry. Loved the pizza and snack bar and the international cafe was superb. The shows in the theatre were ok, the Hawaiian dancers were so good. Felt a bit too many sea days as 4 days to get to Hawaii and then 4 days back, would have been nice to spend a bit more time in Hawaii. Had a couple of great experiences in Hawaii, saw lots of Turtles on the beach and the zip line experience in Mexico was the most thrilling thing I have ever done
Thank you so much for this wonderful holiday Hotel was very good 👍🏼 trip and cruise was amazing thank you again and looking forward to next year more adventures with you.
For us, the ship was perfectly sized, not too big, not too small - just right. Some of the fittings (such as our bathroom) were beginning to look a little dated - but this did not in any way impact the enjoyment of our holiday. The staff were amazing, Food was superb - probably the best we have had on a cruise in many years. The cruise director and her team were excellent and, the range of activities was good. We would definitely sail on the Ruby Princess again. All round we had a fabulous holiday.
Airport pickup at SFO was late and had to chase, finally arrived 1 hour later. The Spero Hotel is located near the Drug addicts and homeless so not very pleasant. The hotel is very old and the rooms not well maintained. Most importantly the safe's were not working in any of the rooms. Ruby Princess is 17 years old and although in general is not terrible its showing its age. But the older ships do tend to smell of sewerage when on the open decks. Disappointing that the dress code was not adhered to in restaurants and bars in the evening, and not enforced by Princess. Post cruise return to the airport was an absolute calamity with hundreds of passengers queuing to get on the coaches (2 hours for us) with no constructive organisation by Princess. Many passengers were panicking they were going to miss their flights.
