While children are welcome aboard Norwegian Spirit, this ship is geared towards adult cruisers. So, you won't find many child-focused amenities or activities available onboard. However, you will still find some family-friendly entertainment available among the offerings available throughout your voyage.
Things to do
You’ll never run out of ways to spend your free time onboard Norwegian Spirit. Fitness enthusiasts can stay on the go for hours with a basketball court, golf driving net, jogging track, swimming pools and fully equipped gym at the Roman Fitness Centre.
However, not everything onboard needs to be fast-paced. Instead, you could choose to lay back and be pampered at Oscar’s Hair & Beauty Salon or enjoy one of the many treatments, from aroma stone therapy to a bamboo massage, at the luxurious Mandara Spa. There is even a Card Room, library and writing room where guests can enjoy some peace and quiet away from the crowds. The ship wasn’t the best we’ve been on but the food, service, free at sea package and entertainment was great. Cabin was small and didn’t have much storage space. Shower was lovely. Atrium was a bit drab and strangely laid out. Excursions were expensive. Enjoyed Auckland, Tauranga beach was a short walk from the ship. Spectacular scenery and waterfalls of the Sounds. Disappointed we couldn’t visit Tasmania and Eden due to adverse weather. Especially as we had arranged to meet friends who live in Tasmania. Melbourne was disappointing. Sydney was such a vibrant city with so much to see and do.
Can only give the cruise three stars food especially breakfast sometimes served cold. entertainment other than soul wave duo very average. disapointed at missing four stops. while the weather cannot be controlled very unhappy with the meagre compensation.
I loved all the ports of call in Japan, as well as Ha Long Bay, Bali, Australia and New Zealand. The cruise was very relaxed, the buffet was very good with food available at most times of day. I felt wearing baseball hats & sports wear in the restaurants for an evening meal was a bit too casual. The live party bands were excellent to dance to & the morning stretch class instructor very good too.
Very good itinerary. Disappointed that there were no pre port lectures, everything was via the stateroom TV. This information was good but would have been really helpful to have had prior to sailing. Excursions were very expensive. First cruise I have been on where there was no library. Speciality Dining was very good. Rarely used the buffet. Dining room, quality of food varied. Staff excellent Never a problem with the lifts Getting on / off the ship was smooth Not enough seating in the atrium Entertainment wasn’t great - the ‘balloon guy’ was better suited to a children’s party! Apart from quizzes- little activities offered.
