With a significant focus on dining, you will be taken on a culinary journey like never before and have the opportunity to dine in intimate venues, making every meal time one to remember. The main dining room spans two floors, with floor-to-ceiling windows. Custom furniture, modern décor and exciting lighting makes it one of the most luxurious dining rooms in the fleet, without mentioning the enticing menu.
When the sun sets, the ship comes alive with an array of highly impressive entertainment. Whether you enjoy a more low-key evening with live music or a grand Broadway-style musical, you can spend your evenings exactly how you want. The BB King’s Blue Lounge will showcase the sounds of Memphis with an eight-piece band, along with a large dance floor to boogie the night away.
For daytime entertainment, guests can also choose from a range of Explorations Central (EXC) features. These include such opportunities as attending onboard Q&A sessions with local guides, classes relating to the destinations on the itinerary, interactive maps and exclusively-made guidebooks.
Staffed by professionals, guests will be sure to get a good workout at the onboard fitness centre. From cardio and weight machines to the more sociable exercise classes, including spinning or yoga, Koningsdam isn’t lacking in ways to stay fit and healthy.
After exerting all that energy at the gym, spoil yourself with a visit to the Greenhouse Spa and salon. Whether you choose to lay back and work out those knots with a massage, let yourself be pampered by a facial treatment using only naturally-sourced ingredients or head for an appointment with one of the stylists at the hair and nail salon (or all three!), there’s no doubt that you’ll leave the facilities feeling like a new you.
When you are not indulging in exquisite cuisine, you can enjoy everything the ship has to offer. With something for everyone, you can spend your time exactly how you want to. Escape in the Greenhouse Spa, learn to cook in the Culinary Arts Center or stay connected in the Digital Workshop.
The Promenade deck encircles the whole ship and lets you experience the true feeling of being at sea. Take a stroll to let the sea breeze hit your face whilst you breathe in the fresh salty air in absolute bliss.
Hated every minute. Fend for yourself ethos. Very poor entertainment, lack of transport/informtion/maps to to help one get ashore as a result only felt safe to leave the ship at 3 ports. A feeing of total isolation as a solo passenger, particularly, the dining room experiences.
A twelve night cruise around the Adriatic and Med, the whole experience was superb, staff went beyond duty and the ship was first class, any quibbles, two, the cost of excursions and the gratuities, both expensive but apart from this a great holiday
An excellent holiday on a very refined cruise ship. Food and service were outstanding. A wider range of entertainment would give this ship full marks.
The ship was all you would expect of a nearly new ship Staterooms and verandah were excellent.Entertainment in main theatre was good, but BB King blues club and Rolling Stones Rock club were too loud and too repetitive.Food and dining areas all very good.Drinks prices on board were too high, and the ship felt a bit like a floating cash till.Gratuities of 14.50 dollars per day and then15per cent service charge on all purchases was a bit over the top, I cut the gratuities and they did not seem too happy. On return they charged me to my card 63.50 for a missing item in the cabin, which basically accused me of theft. They refunded it after a phone call by me, and said it was an error. It still leaves a bad taste, and it is doubtful I would use them again. Overall a holiday is what you make it and we had a good time,.
