Iglu Cruise customer reviews for Noordam
The mid size ship was well kept and the staff very friendly and helpful, especially Paul and Alit who serviced our room and worked around our schedule so not to inconvenience us. The amenities were clean, well stocked and everything you could require, disembarking worked well and all staff accommodating. Meal times were very busy and sometimes waiting for people to leave for a table but the food was always fresh and well presented, maybe more signage’s for some of the dishes as we weren’t sure what some of them were, or what they had in them. The excursions were well planned but some fell a little short compared to others. We enjoyed the orange party and performance and went to seminars which could also be found on the tv in our room for destination details. Having to sign every time you ordered a drink was time consuming and a little annoying it would have been better to swipe the card this was for water and coffee not just alcohol beverages I’m sure there must be more environmentally friendly ways then signing a receipt every time. Alaska was beautiful and well worth the trip we were fortunate to have some really lovely weather for our excursions. It was very rocky the first night but then improved for the rest of the trip, Victoria was lovely but waiting in line to come back it extended around a full block was not the best way to end the last excursion. We were fortunate to see bears, deer, whales and sea otters and sea lions and of course the glaciers
Excellent service from all staff. Good food. Excursions could do with some updating. Cabins comfortable and well maintained. Entertainment good in most parts.
Ship is a smaller traditional cruise ship with all of the amenities of the newer larger ships but without being overcrowded and loud. Decor is very good but a refit is over due. Staff very professional. Cabin well thought out with a larger than expected balcony. Entertainment really good.
Noordam is excellent We had the best time . fantastic food and service. The crow nest is the best view point specially with glass wine. we had a lovely holiday. Well done Iglu.
