As you may expect from Disney, the entertainment comes highly recommended. Offering some of the most amazing shows at sea, many of the cast of the Broadway shows have actually appeared in the original theatre productions. The Buena Vista Theatre is the elegant venue where the incredible Disney productions are hosted. Featuring world-class singers and dancers along with popular characters, the whole family can enjoy amazing shows such as Tangled: The Musical.

Just as magical as the amazing performances are the bars and lounges found across the ship where guests can choose to spend the evening however they wish:

  • Promenade Lounge- featuring an art deco design, this is a popular spot for live music
  • O’Gills Pub- traditional Irish pub meets Disney at this busy hangout
  • Fathoms- perfect for anyone who doesn’t fancy an early night
  • Keys- the place to go for live piano music
  • D Lounge- centrally located and host to various activities, this lounge is busy night and day
  • Signals- head here if you like al fresco cocktails with ocean views

For families there is something for everyone. From the ESPN sky box to the amazing Oceaneers Club and Oceaneer Lab, there will be many a story for all to share over dinner. Teens can enjoy the trendy loft area 'Vibe' and either chill out playing video and virtual-reality games, or take part in great activities such as movie-making.

Adults will also be more than pleased with the Cove Cafe - a sophisticated, adult-only area where you can relax with a choice of speciality hot drinks, wine, cocktails and nibbles.

Children will love the Character Greetings where they will have the opportunity to meet, greet and have pictures with their favourite characters.

Spa and Fitness

A huge part of deck 9 has been dedicated to one of the most innovative spa and fitness areas at sea. Boasting the Senses Spa and Salon, thermal baths, aerobic classes, gym and pamper rooms, this is the place to go to take your holiday to the next level of relaxation.

Meanwhile, if it’s sport you’re after, The Wide World of Sports Deck is an activity haven for the whole family. A large open-air area featuring basketball, volleyball, shuffleboard and ping pong, this is a great location for a bit of friendly competition.

Geared especially towards children, the activities onboard the ship couldn’t be any more magical for Disney lovers. The popular AquaLab and Goofy’s Pool are great for some family-fun, while the AquaDunk waterslide is guaranteed to get your adrenaline pumping. However, if you’d like a more tranquil pool setting, why not retreat to the Quiet Cove.

Away from the pool there are many more areas to explore onboard the ship. Disney’s Oceaneer Club encourages the little ones to get their imagination working with storytelling as they explore magical lands, while teenagers can escape to Edge and Vibe, two parent-free zones kitted out with all the latest tech and games.

Customer reviews for Disney Magic

Brilliant cruise, we loved it. But we did think it was a bit expensive onboard seeing as the cruise itself was so expensive. Added gratuities of $94.50 per person including infants was over the top, yes we did have the opportunity to lower it but not before they had already tried to take it. But I have dealt with Disney before so should have learnt my lesson really. On the whole though it was a great experience.

SEWER GAS: Disney magic to Norway from Dover England. The Disney Magic ship is in bad need of repairs! We had a constant smell of sewer gas in our stateroom and in the hallways. Our room number was 7004. It resulted in headaches and a nauseous experience! We complained about the sewer gas multiple times and even filled out reviews about it but all they did was put tape over the bathroom drain. Other passengers in our same area had the same complaints! Some days were better and somewhere worse! We love Disney, but not this experience. We are on our way to Disneyland next month. On the ship, the food was good and The entertainment was great. We had fine service from the maids and in the dining room. SHIP RATE: 2 FOOD: 5 SERVICE: 5 MAINTANCE 1

Absolutely "Magic" - I took my son, daughter, son-in-law, daughter-in-law and four of my grandchildren on this wonderful cruise to celebrate my 70th birthday. It was superb, the ship was fantastic, the food, entertainment, staff, kids clubs and so much more. Everything was first class and we all had the most amazing week - the children loved it so much they did not want to leave at the end of the holiday. It is a definitely the most fabulous trip onboard this Disney Magic Cruise - so pleased we did this trip and would certainly book for another trip in the future.
