As you wander the decks of this glorious ship, you'll find all kinds of restaurants, bars and amenities to keep you occupied. For dining, you'll find the chefs cultivating a huge array of dishes for every craving you muster. In the evenings, the Alexandria and Medina restaurants are just waiting for your reservation to dine in exquisite surroundings with sumptuous food.
The ship offers a fantastic wealth of stunning bars and ambient lounges. Lazing back at Anderson’s in front of the traditional fireplace, you'll simply melt into the cosy atmosphere of this laid-back bar. Alternatively, if you're in the mood for celebrating, Charlie’s elegant champagne bar is the place to go, with its sparkling design and glitzy colour. Plenty of other venues can still quench your thirst too- from Masquerade for a dance to the Riviera for cocktails, you're never short of options.
Carmen's is the central hub for live entertainment onboard. Here, the show lounge will provide you with countless memories of evening comedy or sophisticated cabaret. After the shows are over, the stage is cleared for a dance floor to let you dance the rest of the night away. The Curzon Theatre on the Promenade Deck has the feel of a traditional, Shakespearian theatre, yet behind the scenes is all the latest technology bringing you the very best West End-style performances you've seen.
With three top-class shops, a cinema showing all the latest Hollywood flicks and first-rate service all round, you have one of the most spectacular cruises imaginable. For those wanting to seek out a little bit of peace and quiet, the card room, writing room and library are also great places from which to enjoy the cruise.
Out on the deck and cruisers will be pleased to find two outdoor pools and several Jacuzzis, as well as an indoor pool with a retractable dome roof, meaning guests can enjoy a dip whatever the weather.
Aside from all that partying, you might also care for really letting your hair down and trying the superb Oasis Spa on the Lido Deck, which allows you to detox and rejuvenate in complete peace and quiet. In addition, guests can pop into the Hair & Beauty salon to experience a complete makeover that will leave them feeling brand new and ready to take on the world.
Sports-wise, there are courts for golf, tennis, football and whatever else takes your fancy. There’s also a fully equipped gym including a spacious aerobics room and personal trainers.
All P&O Aurora cruises will have gin tasting masterclasses. During the captivating masterclass, a gin expert will expertly guide you as you investigate the fascinating distillation processes and taste Marabelle Gin (along with other Salcombe Gins). Raise a glass to your cruise and book a gin tasting class onboard for a truly remarkable experience.
Onboard P&O Aurora, there's a relaxed dress code during the day. Depending on the weather, you can wear t-shirts, shorts, jeans, sundresses, skirts, sweaters and other clothing about the ship. Swimwear is not permitted in the inside bars, restaurants, lounges, or in the main atrium.
At night, P&O Aurora’s dress code consists of: Evening Casual and Black Tie. For the former, dresses, shirts, long trousers and other smart casual attire is permitted. Tailored shorts are also allowed in the Horizon Buffet, The Beach House and The Glass House.
You have the opportunity to dress formally on Black Tie evenings by wearing a suit, tuxedo, ball gown, cocktail dress or stylish jacket with a tie. The Horizon Buffet is the only location that permits tailored shorts on Black Tie night. Evening Casual is, however, allowed on Black Tie nights in the Beach House, The Glass House and the Horizon Buffet. There are up to 4 Black Tie nights, depending on the length of your sailing. Before you go, check your itinerary to make sure you've packed correctly.

The best P & O cruise we have experienced. Quality of food was outstanding in terms of choice & flavour. Dining room service was faultless. Domestic cabin service was perfect.
We think Aurora is the best in P&O’s fleet. Hoping they won’t sell her for a very long time. Timeless classy and traditional. The crew were wonderful and the entertainment team one of the best. A new menu in the MDR , delicious and hot.
Great locations in the Canaries, Spain and Portugal. The Aurora is a lovely size cruise ship with great personal service, although getting a little tired due to its age.
The positives’ The ship & crew were fantastic, plenty of choices of activities on board on sea days’ Food was lovely & we were very happy with our delux balcony cabin. Choice of excursions were good & the guides were very knowledgeable. The negatives’ We would have given a 5 star rating had it not been for the chaos on excursion days’ getting off & returning to the ship via the Gangway was a very stressful unpleasant experience…. long queues, stairs & public areas blocked with people (fire hazard) on one occasion they were not ready for our return to the ship & we were made to wait outside the ship for at least 30 mins in minus freezing temperatures,as a result I was extremely ill the following day. This is unacceptable for a company as large as P&O & they need to address this problem. We did complain to reception and it was noted apparently.
