Cuisine and dining onboard Jewel of the Seas offers the fantastic fare and high standards you would expect of a Royal Caribbean ship. For traditional cruise ship dining head to the Main Dining Room, or for a more relaxed meal that all the family will love, Windjammer Marketplace offers delicious dishes from around the world. What's more, both of these restaurants are included in your cruise fare, meaning you won't even have to worry about picking up the bill.
As well as the fantastic included dining options, Jewel of the Seas also boasts five speciality restaurants:
Entertainment onboard Jewel of the Seas is fun-filled for everyone onboard. There are sophisticated evenings in the theatre followed by the Schooners martini bar, mini golf and Adventure Ocean kids' club for family-fun, or you can even enjoy a tranquil day by the pool. For the active folk onboard there is a rock climbing wall, waterslides in the kids' pool and, of course a cruising must, the golf simulator.
There is also a great selection of lounge bars onboard, offering speciality coffees, cold beers and cocktails throughout the day or if you fancy a flutter head to the casino. Once the ships exits dry-dock in 2016 she will also have some new venues onboard to enjoy, such as the R Bar, the Pub and the Concierge & Diamond clubs.
Royal Caribbean know how valuable time together as a family is and a cruise on Jewel of the Sea is guaranteed to create lifelong memories for every member. One of the most popular family hangouts on the ship is the pool area where parents and children can all enjoy splashing about in the water. However, there are also special places so that families can enjoy a little bit of time apart. For some peace and quiet, adults can head to the adult-only Solarium and relax with a book or take a dip in the pool while revelling in the calm. While parents are taking some time for themselves, teens can enjoy adult-free zones with cool activities and discos where they can hangout with their new friends. Younger children can choose from specially designed activities and learn as they play at the Adventure Ocean kids club.
Fun is at the forefront onboard Jewel of the Seas. Whether you choose to hit the basketball court, have a round of golf on the miniature putting green or race around the running track, there’s no end to the ways to stay active and get competitive on the ship. For those who want to keep up their gym routine at sea, there is also an onboard gym fully equipped with weight and exercise machines so you can get the perfect workout. After all that action, jump in to one of the fantastic pools found on the ship, or if you’d rather not get your feet wet, soak up the rays on one of the nearby sun loungers.
To upgrade your holiday relaxation to the next level, the ShipShape Spa is there for all your pampering needs. Offering a range of treatments by experienced professionals using high-end products, you’ll never want to leave.
Great itinerary with late departures in ports. Food very good and very safe measures on the ship.
Royal Caribbean very well run, clean ship, polite friendly, helpful staff, iglu kept us informef, very good overall
The whole experience was spoilt because of excessive restrictions that did not make sense. No sail always when most of the people on the cruise were sunbathing or swimming outside anyway. The shows were exceptionally poor. No idea why!! The acts except the Barricade boys and a magician were embarrassing. No dancers no west end feel just dull. If I had had children on board I would have been pulling my hair out, there was literally nothing for them to do when the weather was bad. Come on Royal Caribbean up your game. If you want people to come back sailing.
Thought entertainment was very poor and the buffet was only open through the day so you had one dining option on a night The staff was fantastic and very clean the ship it was spot on
