A stylish ship designed specifically for the fast-moving channels and shallow coves that feature all along the American coastline, both in North America and South America, National Geographic Quest invites everyone to explore some of the most remarkable regions in Canada, the United States, Costa Rica, Colombia, and beyond; no matter which itinerary you embark on, every moment of your cruise will be an unforgettable adventure. Boasting twin boarding platforms, meaning two Zodiacs can be launched at once, and an abundance of large windows and outdoor viewing areas, this ship has been built to allow everyone onboard to quickly take advantage of impromptu wildlife sightings and to maximise exploring time. When you’re not venturing off-ship on an adventure, though, you can relish in an informal dining experience with menus featuring regional flavours and local ingredients wherever possible, comfortable lounge spaces and insightful interactions with onboard experts, and modern wellness facilities – for those moments where you want to unwind and refresh yourself after a busy day ashore, or work up a sweat ahead of your next meal. Whisking you away to some of the world’s most spectacular spots, you won’t want to miss an exciting sailing aboard National Geographic Quest with National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions.

What's onboard
Dining
If you’re looking for good food during your adventures around the Americas, you’ll find that aboard National Geographic Quest. The dining experience onboard is casual, welcoming, and full of flavour.
A smaller cruise ship, with accommodation for just 100 guests at any one time, you’ll only find one dining room onboard. However, while meals are served at a single seating time each day, the dining room boasts an informal atmosphere with an open seating policy; so, you’ll be able to sit where you want, and with who you want, each and every mealtime.
The menus you’ll enjoy here feature regional flavours and local dishes, using locally-sourced ingredients and sustainable choices wherever possible, ensuring that every aspect of your experience onboard furthers your connection to the world around you. The dishes you encounter here might not be what you’re used to, but they’re certainly going to be worth remembering; who knows, you might just come away from your cruise aboard National Geographic Quest with a new favourite!
Entertainment
On National Geographic Quest, the environment around you is the real entertainment, and your sailing will be focused on exploring the incredible destinations on your itinerary and informing you as much as possible about the incredible region around you. This means that the entertainment available onboard is rather informative, and low-key beyond that.
The lounge area is a comfortable spot to socialise when you’re sailing, and comes equipped with a full-service bar and state-of-the-art presentation facilities – which onboard experts will take advantage of to deliver interesting presentations and intriguing talks throughout your adventure. Beyond this, you’ll find other opportunities to entertain yourself with light entertainment in the lounge; although, these exciting itineraries will always find ways to surprise you – whether that’s an overnight stay somewhere unexpected, or the chance to tackle the ocean around you on a kayak or stand-up paddle board when you have some free time.
Family
While National Geographic Quest isn’t designed to specifically cater to children and younger cruisers, everyone is invited to share in the incredible experiences available on a National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions cruise. So, generally speaking, children over the age of six months are welcome aboard this cruise ship. However, some of the experiences available during your sailing will be inappropriate for younger children, so additional age limits may apply.
However, on select sailings, children with a curious nature about the world around them will be able to participate in National Geographic’s Explorers-in-Training programme; this is something that aims to further enhance their experience onboard with a range of interactive learning experiences and exciting activities – both onboard and ashore. Beyond this, though, the crew will endeavour to make each moment exciting for cruisers of all ages.
Things to do
Hosting action-packed itineraries sailing to some of the world’s most remarkable destinations, almost everything you can do onboard is related to enhancing your experience in these fascinating places – or relaxing after one of your adventurous shore excursions.
So, when you’re not taking to the water aboard a kayak or stand-up paddle board, or off on a shore excursion aboard a Zodiac, you’ll find a spa onboard with a range of treatments to indulge in, a well-equipped Gym to work up a sweat, and plenty of places to lounge about and socialise. This cruise ship is also home to a Global Gallery – a boutique shopping experience with useful items you may have forgotten to pack, merchandise, gifts, and more. You’ll also encounter a number of interesting talks and presentations from onboard experts throughout your cruise, all of which are well worth attending.
National Geographic Quest may not be home to Broadway-style stage shows or late-night stand-up comedy, but there’s more than enough to keep you busy when you’re not embracing the sensational scenery surrounding you.
