Explora I is a ship that is striving to be one of the most environmentally-friendly cruise ships sailing right now, with several features onboard that aim to improve sustainability and lessen the impact it has on the environment. Until Spring 2025, the immersive Galleria d’Arte aboard Explora I will feature an incredible, privately-owned collection of limited edition prints from Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein – two legendary artists of the 1960’s Pop Art movement.
From Andy Warhol’s impressive suite of work, highlights include a total of 11 prints from his iconic Campbell’s Soup collections – eight of which are from his 1968 collection and three of which are from his 1969 collection – alongside Superman (1981), Apple (1985), Moonwalk (1987), and Campbell’s Soup Box: Chicken Rice (1986).
And, from Roy Lichtenstein, highlights include Brushstroke (1965), I Love Liberty (1982), all six prints from Bull Profile Series (1973), Blue Floor (1990), and As I Opened Fire (1966). While some of these artworks are just represented by the final screen-print, you’ll also find lithographs and woodcuts for several of them on display alongside the final piece too.
