Customer reviews for Azamara Onward
The ship is smaller than the others we cruised but that’s a good thing. We enjoyed many things - complimentary water and drinks, very smooth embarkation and disembarkation, relaxed atmosphere, brilliant White Night and much more. Entertainment was below our expectations: the singers and dancers were very good but that’s about it. We have seen much better productions on other ships and variety of entertainment options was not as we expected. The food was generally very good, sometimes amazing but there were occasions it was below standard. The ports of call were interesting but the ship excursions overpriced (even compared to the ship excursions on other ships). Would we consider Azamara next time? Not sure. If the offer is acceptable and the itinerary is of interest, may be .
Quality in all areas, bedding ,decor, staff , food, service, entertainment. Our only gripe was the buffet which they put on three times. White Night was perfect, food, entertainment and service but when the other buffets were on we ate in the dining room as this is what we prefer. On the day of the other buffets the deck around the pool and upper floor had to be cleared to enable the staff to lay the tables and chairs. We thought three times was far too much for us. If you prefer buffet food then there is always Buffet dining. We were relaxing at the end of the day snd we were all disturbed. A large numbervifvpeople repeated our views. The breakfast rpom with the outside seating area was mot comfortable as tge chairs had to have at least teo cushions to sit on abd theses were taken from other chairs leaving them with nothing to sit on, very uncomfortable. All told we had obe of the best cruises we have ever had and we have been cruising fir 40 years with cautious companies. We will definitely be back with Azamarra again.
We really enjoyed the smaller ship experience. The crew were very helpful and friendly. Entertainment was good It was a shame that the package transfer to port and return to airport were disorganised.
Excellent cruise.
