Ship Facilities

Dining in the main restaurant in the evenings is a relaxed informal affair and menus are planned around fresh, seasonal ingredients. Taking advantage of local produce provides guests with a taste of the destinations they visit. There is also a 24 hour cafe for snacks and drinks and a selection of bars and lounges where drinks are available.

The emphasis here is not on big glitzy shows, as evenings are spent discussing the day’s events with fellow travellers, often swapping stories of whale sightings or sharing pictures of the amazing views captured during the cruise. Occasionally, there may be some live music onboard in the evenings.

Things to do

Life onboard MS Finnmarken aims to be as relaxed as possible, and this is reflected in the activities available. With a small fitness room and pool, guests have the opportunity to stay fit and partake in some gentle exercise, as well as an outdoor hot tub where cruisers can sit back and watch the beautiful sights pass by. Meanwhile, the Expedition Team hosts lectures during the cruise so that guests can learn more about the destinations they visit. There is also a Young Explorers Programme for children aged 7-13, intended to awaken their sense of adventure through learning about the climate, nature and other cultures.
