Want to thank Iglu for organising all our flights, stay over in Las Vegas and the cruise to Mexico. There was not one downside. A real great experience would recommend any day. Thank you very much
When it comes to cruising, Carnival Splendor is in a class of its own. Despite being able to hold upwards of 4,000 guests, there’s no chance of ever feeling overcrowded on this huge ship. As well as the incredible cuisine, spacious cabins and fun-filled decks, the ship’s highlight is the enormous spa, spanning over two decks and waiting to transport guests to new realms of relaxation. Whether you’re travelling on your own, in a couple or as a family, this is the perfect cruise ship to take you on the holiday of a lifetime.
Dining onboard Carnival Splendor is always a culinary event, no matter which venue you choose. From the formal dining rooms, to casual venues and intimate reservations-only supper clubs, you’ll be indulging in some of the best food at sea. Even kids will be able to enjoy the variety of cuisine as the children’s menus feature plenty of hit dishes including spaghetti and meatballs, burgers, hotdogs, pizza, and tasty desserts.
The Gold Pearl and The Black Pearl are the two main dining rooms onboard the ship and offer the option of assigned seating during two sittings or guests can simply walk in when they are hungry. Serving up three courses of beautifully presented food, cruisers can also expect friendly and attentive service, with the Carnival twist of singing and dancing waiting staff. For more casual mealtimes, the Splendido Lido is the place to go for self-serve dishes from around the world. Meanwhile, Mongolian Wok and Masala are two great venues if you want to spice up your food choices.
However, if you’re willing to spend a little more money, Carnival Splendor also offers some more special and intimate dining opportunities.
The most difficult part of life onboard Carnival Splendor is choosing which amazing piece of entertainment to go to next. The main venue is the theatre, where guests can expect all-singing, all-dancing live shows by the spellbinding Playlist Productions, while those looking for a night of laughter can head to The Punchliner Comedy Club for family-friendly shows, becoming less PG as the night progresses.
If you enjoy live music, there are also plenty of different venues to try out. From rock and roll at the RedFrog pub to karaoke singalongs at the Piano Bar, there is something to suit every music taste.
Even those who like to enjoy a late night are well catered for onboard the ship, as The Red Carpet, the ship’s club, features live DJs until the early hours of the morning.
One of the biggest draws of Carnival Splendor is its three pools and five hot tubs, as well as water slides and kid’s Splash Park. Whether you want to jump right into the water or hang back on the sun loungers flanking each pool, this is the place to be on the ship. There are even daily competitions held in this area, from bean bag tossing to hairy chest contests!
Fitness and sports enthusiasts will also be delighted by the facilities onboard. From intensive workouts at the state-of-the-art gym, equipped with exercise machines and free weights, to a bit of competition on the sports court, mini-golf course and ping pong tables, there’s something that will get everyone up and moving.
If your idea of the perfect holiday is all about taking it easy, there’s nowhere better to do so than onboard Carnival Splendor. Kick your downtime off with a few hours dozing on one of the many sun loungers dotted across the deck. Step things up a gear by heading to the Cloud 9 Spa, where guests can enjoy everything from a dip in the soothing thalassotherapy pool to a steam room, sauna and 17 treatment rooms. There is even an onboard salon offering grooming services for both men and women.
However, spoiling yourself doesn’t have to stop there. With various shops and boutiques in the atrium, you can pick up a duty-free treat to remind you of the amazing cruise experience. This area also houses a card room, library and internet café, perfect if you want to find some peace and quiet for a little while.

My husband and I have just got back from our holiday, 2days in new york with a hotel stay was really good we found a lovely cafe 57th street Morning star then a week on the Carnival splendor to New England it was fantastic, everyone was so nice on the ship ,nothing was to much trouble, we were independent travellers so any questions were answered, again when we disembarked and needed help to get taxis no problem, we really can't fault anthing, hopefully it won't be long for our next cruise

The decor is very pink. The staff are excellent looking after you with a 5* service. Lots of food choices, stir fry was the best. Afternoon tea was also much better than expected. Entertainment very professional. The only things I will say was a disappointment was the gluten free bread, the worst I have been offered in 20 years, it was just terrible. Also the tea brand is not very nice, please go back to Lipton! Lastly no kettle in your room, so room service would deliver hot drinks. The hot water had a coffee flavour so tea always tasted odd.

Have just returned from a 7day cruise to the Bahamas. Unfortunately you have to spend 4-day transatlantic to indulge in the three day stops. The weather was cold which ensured you were trapped inside which can only be described as a holiday camp with no doors. The ship was overrun with kids running riot and unsupervised. There was no escaping them or the unpleasantly cold air conditioning unless you retreated to your cabin. The buffet dining area was manic, with unimaginative, poor quality and cold food repeated at all stations. You then spent 15 minutes trying to find a table. It was desperately understaffed and no sight of any officers to supervise any kind of organisation or the remote enforcement of hygiene. There were virtually no drink waiting staff day or night. The formal dining area was equally abysmal, saved by the courteous staff, trying to serve the "shorts wearing, cap wielding clientele". Saving grace - the cabin was clean.
