Nice size of ship but cabin service not as good as other companies. Bar staff were very good. Theatre was poor and was not even half full most nights and music in most lounges was very loud. Food in most restaurants was very good. Our AC stopped working and it took 3 days to get fixed.
Great time cruising the Baltics on Norwegian Sun. Crew were fantastic, cabin and food were excellent. Only the entertainment stops this being a five star review . Appreciated the daytime activities for those staying on the ship and/or families but evening activities/ entertainment wasn't same standard as other cruise lines we've used. Some exceptions were the young lady pianist in the Spinnaker who is extremely talented, and we enjoyed the Motown Show too. First time on NCL and we'd definitely use them again.
Good points of the Norwegian Sun are the food, the excursions, the friendliness of the staff and the comfort of the staterooms. I have only given 2 stars due to a cancelled port of call which was due to technical issues with the ship. Also, the televisions both in the sports bar and our stateroom were extremely unreliable and this spoilt our enjoyment of the World Cup.
Perfect size ship for us. Didn’t really use facilities other than a few of the bars. For an older ship the appearance was well maintained.
