In addition, before your cruise is over, don't forget Princess Cruises signature Movies Under the Stars up on deck, where you can sit back, relax and enjoy a great variety of films in the fresh air.

The Grand Princess boasts a combination of casual and formal evenings, offering you a smart casual atmosphere one night followed by a grand evening the next. If after a long day of shore excursions, you don't fancy dressing for dinner then the buffet restaurant always offers a casual dress code and is open 24/7.
Good service throughout. The ship’s music band was excellent Good variety of food Friendly staff
Positives: excellent food impeccable service on board great entertainment Very good wifi Negatives: poor pre-board service Theatre needs cleaning:; smells awful
Our first time with Princess. Definitely a step up from previous experience though more expensive as a result. Grand Princess, though the oldest ship in the fleet, is still in great shape. All good excepting poor organisation of tenders in Bay of Islands and the shuttle to Union Square in San Francisco. Excursions were either not personally appealing or too expensive so we made our own arrangements. Having done a repositioning cruise before, we were disappointed that there was not more on offer in terms of extra activities. Plenty to do if you were quizzers but beyond yhat more limited. Some Craft activities were chargeable which was a disappointment.
The only thing is not long enough in each port apart from Hawaii, weather excellent only rain on one day for a short while. Pearl Harbour was interesting, with a ride on a trolly bus and RJ the driver was so full of knowledge. This ship was large/med sized and i bid on a Balcony cabin which was accepted, and made it more enjoyable. The Entertainment although only about 3 premium nights, we had different singers, magicians, comedians. Medallion pendent to access lots of info without using a card and the Princess App were so useful, also the TV info ' Wake up show ' that was useful. The ship was easy to navigate round, where the inside pool and jacuzzi were also te outside ones and cinema screen showing different films. The piano player in the Wheelhouse bar, was excellent background music. The other groups also very good, a mixture of activities that you could take part in, also Hawaiian dancers and a few who sang and played instrument's, lots of fun on this ship. The premium package to cover drinks gratuities' posh ice creams etc was expensive but on a 26 night trip found it was great, depending on your budget.
