Iglu Cruise customer reviews for MSC World Europa
enjoyed our first cruise. We went around The Med. We were impressed with the staff, the dining and the entertainment. We will certainly consider another cruise! My husband has health issues and a cruise was ideal for him.
Wow - what an amazing ship! Our Aurea Balcony cabin was great - it had plenty of space for a family of 4 and gave us some really good perks. Anytime dining and access to the Top 20 deck were nice benefits. Embarkation was nice and easy in Barcelona. The staff were very friendly. The food was amazing! The pizza was better than most Italian restaurants in the UK - it was truly up there with good Italian pizza in Italy. We enjoyed the waterslides, Venom drop, coffee shop, Bubbles restaurant, and roller skating. Our nephew and niece loved the splash pad and played there every day. The shows in the World Theatre were impressive - especially Amelia. I would recommend World Europa wholeheartedly.
Beautiful modern ship with all the frills removed. No free ice cream on board unless you do an evening sit-down dinner. No fancy fruit carvings in the restaurants or bar areas. Lots of activities are advertised for a family cruise, but a lot are chargeable and not free. The only main pool is too small for 6000 passengers. Even the two small rear "adult-only" pools are to small. More pools are required on board. The total cruise was geared to Italian appetites. Very little choice for Europeans unless you went to the buffet, which was almost the same every day. Lack of service from staff was very noticeable compared to other cruise lines. All in all a disappointment.
Lovely ship- lots going on, even though its a big ship it never felt crowded. Was lots of seating but they are very low and wide. Especially liked the adult pool area and this made it easy to find a sun bed. Entertainment was ok but very much like most ships either love or hate it. The app on board was very hit & miss but we used TV in room to book shows. Canin was on 11th floor. Mid ship in inner corridor - very quiet and near lifts. Only thing that let holiday down was transfer to Airport. I notified them that we would be late off due to circumstances beyond our control. Even told driver when we were off but he had left and they had no other drivers so had to pay 50 euros to get a cab to the airport. We were 12 minutes later than the pick up time and Titan travel were very unhelpful. MSC did get us a taxi but said it is quite common.
