MSC Seaside Reviews
View Cruise DealsThe sofa in my cabin on the Seaside was very badly stained. The bedding was changed once on a 19 day cruise. Not what I'm used to. I had an extremely upsetting experience in the dining room on this ship. I was at a table with friends on my first night. Next night the maiden stated he didn't have a table big enough for us. My ship card had me at table 512. The maitre de put me at table 496 with two Canadians and two Norwegians. Neither couple wanted to be in this dining room. The Canadians were there two nights. The Norwegians three nights. I was left on my own at a table for eight on night 6. I spoke again to the maitre de next night I was then taken to a table with four German men. Once again I spoke to the maitre de he checked his seating and said you should be at 512 something I had said to him a week previously. This table was solo travellers and just what I had expected. I found the whole experience very distressing. I will say wait staff in the dining room were very good Food on this ship was poor. In the dining room always look warm. The buffet if you like burgers, hotdogs and chips. Beef was always tough. Bar staff were under pressure not enough, I would suggest. properly trained staff. Usually long wait for drinks. Excursions a disappointment. In Casablanca I was looking forward to visiting the Sacred Heart Cathedral we were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes. A bazaar that was more expensive than anything outside. My experience with your arrangements in Barcelona were a total let down. The driver on arrival was forty minutes late. I would have been quicker on a bus. The hotel looked good my room was like a cell. The hanging space was over the fridge ok if your tall I am not. The room had no outlook it was shocking no daylight. I did complain.
Poor menu variation in buffet and main restaurant
we liked our evening restaurant on deck 6 - easy to get to and very nice waiters. nice and clean
A lovely ship and staff were very attentive. Although the ship was full, there were always areas that were quiet if you wanted them. Rooms were kept clean, as was the rest of the ship. Buffets could be very busy, but always plenty of options to eat. My only issue was that the food in the main restaurant was not as good as normal as our previous experience. I felt the range of choice was limited and the quality and presentation was inconsistent. On a couple of occasions food had to be returned due to various reasons. Overall though, a good holiday enjoyed by myself and my family.
Lovely crew , clean Not enough food halls , entertainment was much the same
Ship in some places was really tired some carpets could do with replacing general entertainment team needs improving some singers couldn't hold a note instrumentalists excellent . food a bit rushed in a la carte and chaotic in buffet ,not as good as we have previously had before on other cruise ships ostaff worked as quick as possible cabin staff excellent
FIRST TIME WITH M. S. C. GOOD EXPERIENCE AND WOULD USE AGAIN IF ITINARY SUITED MY NEEDS
The crew where lovely all very helpful and happy. Food was very repetitive by the end of the cruise i was fed up with the menu although it was tasty. The lifts where awful get your steps in and do the stairs. Found the daytime entertainment quite poor. cleanliness of our cabin was lovely and our cabin cleaner so helpful
Overall, it's good value for money. The dining rooms are good, and I definitely recommend them over the marketplace for breakfast, as there were always fewer people there. The Butcher's Cut speciality restaurant is highly recommended, and we absolutely loved MSC shows in the theatre. Wi-Fi with newly updated Starlinks was working very well.
Our room steward and our dining team were excellent.
