Lovely ship, cabin spacious and well appointed. We were not impressed with rigid dining times and having to sit with another couple every evening. We were very lucky that we git on well with them!

Found the ship very confusing with lay out - moving around the ship always seemed confusing. Entertainment was limited - putting the main show each evening to one side, which was good. . . i found it very dull place to be. Furthermore, being at sea for 4 of the 8 days due a strike at Athens compounded it further. The food generally was good standard and customer services dealing with question was again good. I didnt enjoy the vacation and wont be travelling with MSC Again.

Excellent cruise. Well organised, with staff helpful and clearly knowing what to do, when and how to ensure the operations of excursions and meal times proceed smoothly. Ship very clean and common areas kept tidy and with room to move around. No hard or upsetting which we appreciated. Compared to other cruise lines MSC seem happy to simply let you get on with things without day to day hand holding and information.

Buffet food was always far too busy. Some of the “”hot” breakfast meals were only just warm sometimes. Pizzas were always outstanding. Limited choice and not much chicken on the menu.

We had an amazing time on the MSC Fantasia! The food and drink fresh and plentiful and catered for every taste. The ship was clean as too were the rooms. The staff were incredible and all worked so hard to make sure you had the best experience. The people that really stood out were: our cabin steward Jean Claude. Always had a smile on his face. He made sure our cabin was immaculate to come back to after site seeing and if we asked for anything extra such as ice, we had ice! Herbert, our waiter. Very helpful and perceptive. The ladies in Il Cappuccino Shelia and Farah were very attentive and polite. They even remembered our names addressed us every time we walked in! Our dance teachers Ali and Erika. So funny and happy. They went out of their way to not only make sure you had a great time but also took the time to help you with different steps if you got stuck. All in all a great experience and we have booked two more cruises with MSC!

The ship is of the old style, although it is quite a good looking ship, ie, internal decor is very nice, it is not what they call a "smart ship". The food was very average but adequate. The evening entertainment was a short 35mins but very good. Overall: The price reflects the standard of the ship. We thought we received value for money.

Well equipped cabin with balcony for seven days, staff were very engaging & hard working, buy the drinks package before you get on the ship way cheaper, quality of food in all restaurants was quite good, the whole ship was spotless & well maintained.

Fantastic staff, good food and wine. I enjoyed the Spa massages and their great hair salon. The ship was very clean and we enjoyed the excellent destinations. However, sign posting around the ship could be improved, as it’s so large. We easily trebled our step count just by walking around the ship (often in the wrong direction!). The lifts are slow and often full, resulting in either a long wait or climbing up some ten decks to the pool or Spa. We noted the exclusive ‘Yacht Club’ lift, so there’s clearly an issue. Breakfast was hectic, with a struggle to find a seat. We found a freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee bar, which was included in our upgraded drinks package but carrying drinks back to our table was stressful, as we narrowly dodged children and other guests. Sometimes a waiter would kindly help us but they were all rushed off their feet clearing tables too. We tried room service for breakfast instead but the quality was inferior. The other breakfast ‘dining room’ option was only until 9am, which didn’t suit us but may be an option for earlier diners? Our cabin was dated with dreary colours and a very uncomfortable sofa (which was actually a sofa bed). The cushions slipped off every time we sat down. Overall, it’s a very inexpensive cruise, with professional staff and better than expected food and entertainment but very busy during meal times, plus the Spa and pool areas were always busy. We would certainly use their ‘exclusive Yacht Club’ if we went with MSC again, as we now understand why it’s offered! We booked last minute and this YC option was highlighted but sadly fully booked. I’d like to add the booking service offered by Amber at Iglu Cruises was excellent.
