More about Azamara Cruises

Azamara Cruises dining offers the fantastic cuisine that you could expect from a 5-star cruise line, with the added bonus of being in an informal, club atmosphere more akin to a country manor than a cruise liner. The cuisine on offer gives the perfect balance of the typical cruise line dining room, the always popular buffet and, of course specialty dining thanks to the steakhouse Prime C.

Dining information:

  • Open seating in the main dining room, offering the ultimate flexibility.
  • Informal, but smart casual dress code, such as golf shirts, trousers, casual dress, skirts and jackets.
  • Speciality restaurants included in the cruise fare for suite guests, $25 cover charge for other guests.
  • Complimentary, round-the-clock room service.

Where Azamara Cruises stand out is in the fact that you can eat in the main restaurant in your favourite chinos, as opposed to digging out your dinner suit. In addition, if you are staying in a suite, the specialty restaurants are included in the cruise fare while for everyone else there is a small cover charge.

Included dining venues

Whether you fancy a gastronomic treat, a hamburger hot off the grill or a relaxed peruse through the buffet, there is plenty of choice onboard these luxurious, yet informal ships.

  • The Windows Café- The Windows Café is the main casual dining restaurant onboard Azamara Cruises' ships. The buffet-style venue is open for most of the day offering casual buffet dining, made-to-order breakfasts and a superb variety of lunch and dinner options. There are often fresh salads, sushi and a carving station, followed by sumptuous desserts.
  • Pool Grill- offering made-to-order fish kebabs, burgers, fries and salad from 11am to 6pm.
  • Discoveries Restaurant- the Discoveries restaurant is the most formal of Azamara Cruises' main dining options, but that still doesn't mean you have to dig out your dickie bow and dinner suit as only a smart-casual dress code is expected. Though the atmosphere is more relaxed, that doesn't mean the service or quality of food is. The cuisine is filled with classic dinner favourites, though given a little twist, such as filet mignon served with a black truffle sauce. There is also open dining, meaning you can eat at your leisure each day without worrying about missing your seating or holding up your table.

Speciality dining venues

Azamara Cruises also have a couple of fantastic specialty restaurants, available for a small cover charge, offering more variety to your dining options.

  • Prime C- Prime C is the cruise line’s steakhouse, set in a relaxed atmosphere with rich autumn colours in the wood panelled dining room. The menu offers crab cakes with remoulade, lobster bisque, wedge salad with bacon and blue cheese, and of course, steaks where you can choose the cut that suits your mood.
  • Aqualina- Azamara's Mediterranean venue, offering a soothing background of blue and white décor and magnificent ocean views. The menu includes wonderful fare from seafood bouillabaisse, lobster-asparagus salad, and wild mushrooms with parmesan and white truffle cream starters to seafood paella with saffron couscous, black truffle and mushroom risotto, seared duck breast and rack of lamb for the mains.

Shows

Enjoy an evening in the showcase theatre with one of the Azamara Cruises Cabaret shows. Relax into the soft, comfortable seating and take advantage of the cocktail service while you marvel at the onstage entertainment.

Bars and lounges

The lounges and bars onboard Azamara Cruises' ships offer an elegant setting to enjoy fine wines or classic cocktails. Take in the relaxing ambience and live music that the great venues have to offer.

  • Michael's Club- with the grand piano playing in the background and an extensive book collection on offer, Michael's Club is the perfect place for a relaxing drink or a nightcap.
  • Martini Bar- a chilled glass, the purest gin, a touch of dry vermouth, gently stirred and finished with three green olives, with 26 varieties on the classic Martini all you need to do is find your favourite.
  • Looking Glass- whether sinking into the comfortable leather sofas or wanting to dance the night away, the stunning Looking Glass is a great venue. With floor-to-ceiling windows and Murano-glass sculptures, this is a truly elegant bar.

Casino

For those who believe in Lady Luck the Luxe Casino is the venue for you. Set in sophisticated decor to create an atmosphere to match, the casino has all your favourite games, from blackjack to roulette. So why not try your hand and see if it's your turn to hit the jackpot?

Committed to providing guests with an enriching and immersive experience, Azamara Cruises’ itineraries are packed with overnight stays and late nights in port, as well as visits to small ports that are inaccessible to big ships.

A holiday with Azamara Cruises is ideal for a honeymoon or anniversary, a luxury cruise treat, or for those interested in discovering unusual and fascinating cruise destinations. You can enjoy a fly and cruise holiday to the Caribbean, Asia, the Panama Canal, Hawaii and South America with Azamara Cruises. Regardless of your level, there is everything from aerobics to spinning to get your heart racing, or yoga and Pilates to work on your flexibility and core strength.

Enrichment programs

Azamara Cruises prefer to take a more immersive attitude to shore excursions. Offering special insights into the culture, history, wildlife, and geology of each destination visited, Azamara will ease away your cares whilst giving you cultural food for thought. Every cruise also includes one AzAmazing shore excursion as part of the cruise fare. This could be ballet in St. Petersburg or enjoying dinner while perched on a 350-foot-high cliff overlooking the Amalfi coast.

Of Azamara Cruises' staterooms, 93% offer ocean views and 70% offering verandas, meaning it's much easier to find the perfect room for your cruise holiday. Onboard service with Azamara Cruises is simply outstanding. From the butler service that comes as standard in every stateroom to the ratio of one staff member to every two guests, you are sure to have your every whim catered for. No matter which stateroom you choose, you'll receive a high level of service which is rarely found on today's larger cruise liners and this level of high service and quality hasn't gone unnoticed with Azamara gaining the accolade of one of the World's Best Cruise Lines by CondeNast Traveller©.

Those who cruise regularly with Azamara Cruises should consider joining their loyalty programme, Le Club Voyage, where members receive a range of fantastic advantages, from priority check-in to discounts on spa treatments.

This was our 5th cruise with Azamara and 3rd on the journey. It was absolutely fantastic.Captain Johannes runs an excellent operation and there was nothing we could fault .Entertainment was if anything slightly better than usual and the food and drink up to normal high standards . Service was outstanding as ever in the restaurant and the restaurant manager should be commended for the high standards amongst his team.We always book through Iglu for the best deals and everything always runs smoothly. Our next trip will definitely be on the Azamara Journey .

Docking in city centres so.shuttles are unnecessary and you can wander off at leisure fir long days of exploration with time to use public transport and local.services due to late departures. We have had 14 cruises with Azamara and never been disappointed whether in Erooe or Asia or the Caribbean Food and service and all crew aim.to please and make every trip memorable

Our second cruise on Azamara Journey. We have no complaints as such but a little more imagination and flare by chef would be good in the vegetarian options. That is not to say that the dishes were unacceptable, quite the reverse. Value for moiney we feel though tours a little on the priscey side.
