This was our second Azamara cruise this year and it didn’t disappoint! We had a wonderful fortnight cruising a lovely variety of Greek islands and the start and end points, Athens and Istanbul, were so interesting and full of history and culture. We also loved Ephesus. We spent our 45th anniversary revisiting Santorini and that evening upgraded to Prime C restaurant where we were wined and dined like royalty. A special thank you to our steward Hari, to our waiters Rodolfo and Rra and to all the crew. We also loved the entertainment team, led by Roy and the fabulous musical team led by Rory. Azamara really know how to create a beautiful ambiance and the service and catering are first class.
Our first Cruise with Azamara was in 2012, since then standards have dropped. We have just returned from a Baltic cruise on the Journey and we were both disappointed. There seems to be less crew in public areas, less choice of drinks on complimentary list and a lot small issues that add up. The Ship must be due a refit.
Iglu were shocking in being able to communicate issues - never again. Azamara were similar but they redeemed themselves successfully. Iglu need to focus more on customer service as much as sales.
