The crew were absolutely brilliant. We stayed in stateroom 0001A which was very good with the exception of the shower area which was very small. Would recommend to everyone.

We had 3 main reasons for choosing this itinerary: Azores, Madeira, Casablanca. Casablanca was great, we fully understand why the captain considered the Azores too risky in the weather conditions, but we were never told why Madeira was removed early on. Nevertheless, we did enjoy the itinerary and the ports we visited. There were many good points that we appreciated. The ship was clean and not too big. The entertainment was very good. The meals we had were good. Life on board, embarking/disembarking, and the excursions, were very well-organised. We did feel that independent travellers were not well-catered for in terms of information provided. It was difficult to plan ahead as information about ports/terminals, regarding distance and shuttle buses, etc was hard to find or only available last minute. Also we felt that $20 each for a shuttle bus where there was no practical alternative was unreasonable. We did miss not having port talks to give a heads-up on what to expect when going ashore. The App was useful, though not as versatile as some others we’ve used. The TV was quite limited, particularly as there was no means of jumping directly to find port information without watching an entire programme sequence, and there was no film/programme selection beyond what was currently broadcasting. Although the food was good we felt there was too little variety in both the buffet and main restaurant, especially with the starters and desserts. The food and service in the speciality restaurants were excellent. The general serving staff were all friendly and efficient, but we felt they seemed less relaxed than on other cruises, as though they were under pressure, perhaps from under-staffing or over-management. Not really sure why as they all seemed a nice bunch of people.

The food was average,the menu was very repetetive,the entertainment onboard was terrible,on the plus side the bars were nice,the drinks were great on the drinks package ,the cabin was ok,the staff were all very nice. not very happy with iglu,they thought it was ok to take us to the airport 9 hrs before the flight,i rang them before the holiday to question this and the guy i spoke to couldnt understand why i had a problem with it.

First and last time with NCl! Food in the restaurant was average at best and in the buffet quite terrible. The specialist restaurants were very good however with the steak restaurant being excellent Clifford in the Crossings was a gem but most of the others weren’t up to scratch. Bar staff were really good including the 2 lads in Sugarcane and the young lady from Serbia. There’s not the organisation on Norwegian Sky that we are used to on other cruise lines aboard. We didn’t appreciate the misinformation in Alicante about the little train taking us right into the town- this cost us $10 each when the coach was free and dropped you at exactly the same place just outside the port. The live music was really good I had a spa treatment but the upselling spoilt it for me. I couldn’t just go for the treatment I wanted without being cajoled into having extras - I cancelled my second appointment as it was an uncomfortable experience

It was our second time on this ship and it was just as good as the first. We would have preferred the food to have been hotter and the vegetables cooked a bit more as they were a little too firm for our liking. Lots of variety to suit everyone of all ages, speciality restaurants were also very good. The cleanliness was very good and the guys who cleaned our room was amazing and very approachable. Entertainment on the ship was also very good. . it would have been nice to have had an itemised bill at the end of the cruise rather than just a credit card total charge. On dembarkation day it was all very simple and smooth. My only complaint was we were advised to look out for taxi driver and were told they would be holding either their name or our name and this didn't happen. i had to call to find out where the taxi was , we were told he was already waiting. When we saw who he was from a description given he had been standing over the road for sometime but he didn't have any name on show so it was a case of a communication breakdown. That said it was nothing to do with the cruise line it was the company fault, something that Iglu cruise needs to feed back . Norwegian Sky Ship is a lovely ship and we would go back to it .

Food mediocre at best. Only good meal was Cagney's. Bistro was average. Main dining room below average in terms of choice, quality and variety. Service good. Entertainment very amateur. Ship looks tired. Service fair Itinerary very good. Very few if any quiet places on ship. Library and on occasions the pinnacle observation lounge. Musak everywhere, even when no activities were scheduled.

Ports of call were as expected, very good having visited them previously. bars and crew very proffessional and courtesy.

Lack of variety in main dining rooms. Better variety in the buffet but slow removal of untalented food which has overheated and dried up. Good wine list. All so called beers were lagers. No guest lectures. No ballroom dance leaders. No proper theatre company. No comedy. Nowhere for a quiet drink. No tea/ coffee tray in the cabin. Generally geared for U. S. clientele. Shore trips were generally good but no feedback was asked for. Hygiene standards by cruisers was poor and there was no encouragement by ship staff to use the sanitisers. Senior staff "inspecting in the serving side of the buffet weren't hygienically dressed with no hair covering. I thought the cruise was on the cheap side (booked late for the itinerary) and it showed.

I appreciate that NCL Sky is an older ship and whilst she is maintained well I would not go back on her as there are far better options available. The layout is flawed in several areas mainly the single sided buffet which is always overcrowded. As it was a destination cruise I did not spend much time on her with only one sea day.
