Norwegian Prima Reviews
View Cruise DealsLovely ship. Delicious food - good quality and variety. Hudson's was a really nice space - and Surfside, easy to use (except when it was really busy!) Inside cabin was great - despite being worried about having an inside cabin. It was clean, modern and quiet. Events on a lot of the time. The Observation Deck is a fantastic space to watch the world go by.
This is a new style NCL ship and she didn't disappoint. Fantastic deck 8 outdoor area for eating, sun bathing or just walking.
Firstly the Iglu package itself; everything went smoothly with transfers and flights as well as the cruise itself.Without exception all staff were excellent; I know it's their job but they genuinely take an interest and are happy to take time out to chat. If I had never cruised before then I may have given a higher rating for dining, but compared to previous experiences on Norwegian I was a little disappointed! All previous cruises I'd been on had the buffet on both sides of the ship; Prima on only one, albeit with an overspill area in the restaurants on the other side at breakfast and lunch. This was initially OK as there was the alternative dining venue Indulge, local bar and grill as well as the main dining rooms. However as the cruise progressed more and more people were using the cafe and being one sided it tended to get a bit crowded. (I dread to imagine the chaos if it was school holidays meaning a lot more children!) I guess this was due to the menus in Indulge (and the local grill) not changing from day to day. That said, Indulge is an excellent idea; order on an Ipad and the food is delivered to your table, but if you order from different areas it won't necessarily all arrive at the same time. As I said before the choices didn't change throughout the cruise although I suppose if you don't have as restricted a taste preference as myself it needn't be too much of a problem. (Tip - don't order your drinks on the Ipad; use the bar itself.)Not a deal breaker, but I think I prefer the more traditional cruise ship larger central atrium rather than Prima's approach. Personally we don't normally participate in the various activities hence a neutral rating, although the cruise director was excellent. We didn't book any of Norwegian's own excursions as we generally prefer to do our own thing, including (generally cheaper!) local companies .I would however happily book on Norwegian again as I prefer their more casual approach, albeit on one or more of their 'traditional' vessels next time!
The food, entertainment and staff were great.
I mostly enjoyed all aspects of my cruise experience. I much appreciated the attention given by the bar staff. The general organisation of the cruise from booking until our return was excellent.
A beautiful ship. Outstanding service. Excellent facilities. So many restaurants and bars to enjoy delicious food and all types of drinks. Non stop entertainment to suit everyone. Or relax in the thermal suite and spa. The outside areas are the best I've seen. I felt valued and looked after.
This ship would be great in warm weather. Great food and staff. Good entertainment. Prima theatre was first class.
We had a lovely cruise and really enjoyed it. The restaurants were good. The cabin was a good size and very comfortable. The entertainment was varied and very enjoyable. We had a couple of nights in Reykjavik at the end of the cruise in the Holt Hotel which was very nice.
