We were concerned about going on such a large ship after enjoying smaller ships for so long but needn't have worried. The ship is aptly named it was a real joy, from the cabins to the restaurants, the numerous bars and sitting areas and most importantly the wonderful crew. The food was delicious whether eating in a specialty restaurant or the main dining rooms. Entertainment was good, some of it memorable although the same acts did perform a couple of times but it was quite a long cruise so that may be why. What we loved was there was always somewhere quite you could find and the fact that you could choose to eat your meal outside in the speciality restaurants and there were also a couple of outside bars and seating on the same deck which was great for watching the sun go down

I really enjoyed the trip thanks to IGLU. The only big problem was the taxi from Miami port to Beach Hotel. The driver did not get out the car and I couldn't communicate with her due to my phone not working. I was waiting an hour and only after someone calling her number for me, did she arrive. In fact, blaming me and say what I should have done. However I did eventually get to the hotel. On the whole it was one of the best trips I've on recently.

To summarise, the cruise did not meet our expectations in many ways. The entertainment was extremely poor, cheap and tacky. The food was below average except in the speciality dining rooms. The staff varied: not always attentive or even polite. 3 missed ports: 2 due to weather and the third because the port 'wasn't ready'. Disappointing to say the least.

Think NCL need to start changing menus in speciality restaurants, been the same. For a few years Food not overly hot in any restaurant Entertainment in theatre very good Sad to say didn’t think service was very good compared to other NCL ships , hardly any service around pool areas

The Joy is an excellent, well run ship. Although running at full capacity, the ship never felt overcrowded, and it was not difficult to find a quiet corner away from the busy areas. All areas were kept commendably clean and tidy, and hygiene standards were good, though some of the ladies’ restrooms suffered from regular blockages. I would suggest that the aircon in the public areas could be applied a little less enthusiastically. The complimentary restaurants were of good standard, and the speciality ones were generally good, if expensive, with one notable exception (Ocean Blue) . A first attempt at dinner here was poor. A second complimentary attempt resulted in a much better experience. It was disappointing that both Mexican port calls were missed owing to stress of weather, (unavoidable), and Costa Rica because of a paperwork error between the Port Authority and the ship - I’m not sure where the blame lay. The net result was 5 consecutive days at sea! As usual, the port tours were overpriced. Boarding and disembarkation were both handled very efficiently. Overall, an enjoyable cruise.

Had a great time, I was travelling alone and the solo meet ups were superb. Food mostly good and the entertainment also. I look forward to my nexr cruise with NCL.

Another excellent cruise on NCL Joy. Entertainment was first class & varied, ship was continually cleaned throughout the day, food was good especially in speciality restaurants. Balcony cabin was well located on deck 10. On sea days there were plenty of activities to keep us occupied. Apart from The Cavern club venues were of a good size. Staff worked hard & were always courteous & engaging.

Unfortunately we felt a little let down by our cruise, we had 3 stops that we couldn't make due to different reasons, 2 of those we had booked the cruise for, 5 consecutive days at sea where we like day off day on kind of cruise. The quality of the food seemed to go down as the cruise neared the end, also we didn't feel the entertainment was as good as on previous cruises. Most of the staff excellent, some of the restaurants seemed overstaffed, we felt rushed at times

Cruise itself was excellent - destinations very good. Service very good as usual. Ship was clean and had good variety of venues in the evening. Main problems encountered relate to the package and service provided by Iglu which I will address privately.

The standard of food and drink on board was very good. the places visited were excellent.
