Norwegian Dawn Reviews
View Cruise DealsUnfortunately the ship had to miss a destination because it thought the sea was a slight bit choppy. There was only a couple ports of call that we could stay ashore a reasonable amount of time. The ship was fine generally but my gripe was the price of a drink if you did not have a all inclusive drinks package which seemed to be all or nothing as if you only wanted the odd beer occasionally the wanted the equivalent of over £18 a pint. Talk about a rip off and suffice to say I had no drinks onboard!
The Venetian Restaurant is beautiful but the service at times was really bad.
My only complaint would be the choice of food in the general restaurants. It was very limited and the menu hardly changed.
Excellent as usual
Never met our cabin guy but he did do his job welll. ship very dated in parts. Carpets need replacing. Food wasn’t the best but did get better as holiday progressed. Good service from waiters and drinks good with good choice. Shops were poor and the entertainment was shockingly poor.
Returning to cruising after 15 years, my first solo, my first Norwegian and my first foray into organising my own excursions (I love to challenge my navigation skills!), I can honestly say I had an amazing time! The service was incredible and I’d like to thank the four lovely ladies that sang and chatted to me each morning at breakfast. An early riser keen to experience the sunrise and record my holiday in my journal, the visit from, Elizabeth, Diosa, Angelica and Jessica ( the coffee and pastry crew) absolutely set me up for the day! Thank you to all of you!! Best value for money holiday I’ve ever had and I say that because I feel the vibe on the ship was one of lightheartedness and fun, exactly what I was looking for on this much needed vacation. ALL the crew went out of there way to acknowledge me, making me feel I mattered, making me feel I was in good hands, and safe. The entertainment was out of this world!! And the final show - Elements- blew me away!! As a solo traveller I was surprised to meet so many other solo travellers and although I like to spend a lot of time alone, I attended the first few solo traveller meetings hosted by the experienced, energetic and brilliant Anna where I connected with a few people, making me feel safe and included. Avril, my housekeeper, worked tirelessly in the background keeping my room feeling fresh every day which made such a difference! The room was spotless and it inspired me to keep it tidy making it a haven to return to after a day’s activities in the Bliss lounge, the fitness center, walking on the wonderful deck 7 promenade, the shows in the theater,, listening to the amazing musicians in the bars and lounges, meals whenever I wanted and where I felt drawn to eat every day and finishing off with fun dancing in the Bliss lounge most nights!! Will I solo cruise with Norwegian again? Absolutely!!
The destinations were interesting , the service & entertainments were good. Internet package & excursion charges higher than other cruise lines
All very good
Once again really enjoyed the cruise . Very friendly and professional at all times. Food & Entertainment excellent.
A little dissapointed. The staff and service were excellent. The cruise ship was a little tired. The food was very average although the service cannot be criticised. The ports of call that we visited were very good although disappointed with Inverness. The evenings entertainment was mixed some very good some very average
