Cruising from Southampton is so easy, drive up to the terminal, hand car keys over, take luggage to the drop off point and walk through the terminal. No hanging around, very little queuing - from handing car keys over to sitting in the atrium having a drink took less than 20mins.
Easy and stress free embarkation
We had a taxi transfer to Southampton cruise terminal. Easy to find and driver followed directions to drop us off right next to the luggage drop off. Staff took our luggage and we were very quickly in the check in area. Boarded the ship feeling relaxed ready to start our holiday. Really impressed with the ease of boarding. Disembarkation was a joy too, we walked off at 7 am and headed to the taxi pick up area and met our taxi. We were on our way by 7.30. No long walks, everything close by. Staff helpful. I never want to have to go to an airport again! great experience. I will certainly book a Southampton cruise again.

Very easy and rapid check in at Mayflower Terminal. However, the check in times seem to be superfluous as they are not really necessary and are ignored by check in staff. A good thing as our party of 5 on the same booking and travelling together, had different check in times.
