Dynasty Show Lounge is the hub of entertainment on this cruise ship. Here, guests can watch dazzling shows by Playlist Productions and with one early evening showing and one later showing, all the family can enjoy the broadway-style performances. There is also the Punchliner Comedy Club, where family-friendly standup and adult-only shows provide laughs for guests of all ages.

As well as the variety of shows, guests can also enjoy their evenings with a drink or two at one of the bars.

  • Atrium Bar- a fun place to grab a drink and watch the world go by from the heart of the ship.
  • Mirage Bar- the place to go for a piano singalong.
  • Dream Bar- located near the casino, this is one of the busiest bars on the ship and also plays host to talented performers until the early hours.
  • Shangri La Lounge- pop here to see if the karaoke bar hits the right note with you.
  • Illusions Nightclub- late night partiers will be delighted with this club.
  • Alchemy Bar- look on as expert bartenders in white lab coats whip up the drink of your dreams.
  • RedFrog Rum Bar- nothing says “cruise” more than a Caribbean rum-based drink.
  • BlueIguana Tequila Bar- refresh yourself on the pool deck with a tequila cocktail (or a beer if tequila isn’t quite to your fancy).
  • Another hotspot on the ship is the El Dorado Casino where guests try their hand at Texas Hold’em tournaments or have a spin on the slot machines to see if they can hit the jackpot.

Things to do

There’s no need to worry about what you’ll do when you’re not on shore excursions when you cruise on Carnival Imagination, as the hours on ship can be just as fun-packed as those off. The impressive size of this ship means that it has space for not just one but three swimming pools, one of which has a set of waterslides to add a little thrill to the fun. If you’d rather sit back and watch everyone else splashing about, you can do just this at one of the outdoor jacuzzis or by laying back on a sun lounger.

The deck is also home to a mini-golf course, jogging track, shuffleboard and ping pong, so if you find yourself wanting some light exercise, there’s bound to be another guest willing to challenge you to a game. For a more intensive workout, head inside to the gym where you can use stationary bikes, treadmills and other equipment to work up a sweat, although if you prefer to exercise in groups, there are also classes such as Body Sculpt and indoor cycling available at an additional cost.

If you’re looking to splurge on a little extra luxury during your holiday, the Carnival Spa comes highly recommended. Providing treatments ranging from seaweed wraps and couples’ massage to teeth whitening, you’re sure to leave feeling rejuvenated. There is also a separate sauna, perfect for steaming away the last of your stress. Alternative activities taking place on the ship include trivia competitions, art auctions, health and wellbeing seminars, bingo and scavenger hunts.
