From September 2026, Carnival Cruise Line's Carnival VIFP Club is transforming into Carnival Rewards: a brand-new, streamlined rewards programme for regular cruisers to enjoy even more benefits with this fantastic cruise line.
While some of the core elements of this rewards programme remain the same, so those familiar with VIFP Club will feel right at home, there are several important changes worth highlighting. So, whether you're a regular cruiser with Carnival Cruise Line or someone completely new to cruising, here's everything you need to know about Carnival Rewards, a more rewarding way to cruise with Carnival Cruise Line.
Carnival Rewards' membership tiers
When you enrol with Carnival Rewards, you'll enter directly into Red Tier, with the option to progress into the following membership tiers over time.
- Red Tier - upon sign-up to Carnival Rewards
- Gold Tier - from 10,000 stars
- Platinum Tier - from 50,000 stars
- Diamond Tier - from 100,000 stars
Carnival Rewards' points and rewards
In addition to Carnival Rewards' membership tiers and Status Qualifying Stars, you'll also be able to earn points throughout your adventures with Carnival Rewards; with enough points, you can redeem everything from sparkling sodas and spa treatments to unforgettable shore excursions and so much more.
The following things can be redeemed for up to 2,000 points:
- A six-pack of sodas (1,357 points)
- Snorkel equipment rental (1,357 points)
- A frozen Pina Colada (1,357 points)
- Select Wi-Fi internet plans (1,357 points)
- A Thing 1 & Thing 2 Birthday Breakfast (1,357 points)
Meanwhile, the following things can be redeemed for up to 5,000 points:
- Stingray Beach Encounter excursion (2,400 points)
- A manicure (2,400 points)
- Dinner at Bonsai Teppenyaki (2,400 points)
- Dinner at Cucina del Capitano (2,400 points)
- An Island Bike Tour excursion (2,400 points)
- A Thermal Suite Day Pass (3,000 points)
Beyond this, you'll find a range of higher-tier experiences available; these include an unforgettable Chef's Table dinner (5,500 points), an Aroma Stone Therapy session (13,499 points), a Dolphin Swim & Dolphin Cove excursion (13,499 points), and the Reef & Wreck Snorkel Adventure (5,500 points). You'll find more rewards available throughout your cruise, so don't worry if nothing mentioned appeals to you – this is just a small selection of what's available with Carnival Rewards!

When cruising as a Carnival Rewards member, you will also earn milestone rewards regardless of your membership tier.
For the first 50 days you sail, you will earn an additional 5,000 points and a special milestone Sail & Sign card.
Every 100 days you sail beyond that, you will receive 10,000 points, a commemorative gift from Carnival Cruise Line, and another special milestone Sail & Sign card. You'll also get a commemorative keepsake when you reach 500 days sailed!

How do I enrol in Carnival Rewards?
To enrol, please log in to Carnival.com (or create an account) and enrol in Carnival Rewards by accepting the relevant terms and conditions.
When will my Carnival Rewards points appear in my account?
Points and Status Qualifying Stars are credited to your member account approximately 14 days after your sailing is complete.
How do I redeem my Carnival Rewards points?
You can redeem your points towards a cruise fare during booking, or for eligible onboard purchases through the Carnival HUB app.
What spending does not earn you points and stars with Carnival Rewards?
Required cruise fees and expenses, necessary government taxes and fees, air travel purchased through Carnival Fly2Fun, certain fare types, and other specified fees are not eligible to earn points and stars with. A full list can be found in Carnival Rewards' terms and conditions.
How do my previous VIFP Club Platinum and Diamond status carry into Carnival Rewards?
If you earned Diamond Status by 31 August 2026, you'll receive lifetime Carnival Rewards Diamond Tier status after enrolling.
If you earned Platinum Status by 31 August 2026, you'll receive Platinum Tier status through 31 December 2028. At the start of each new two-year cycle, you'll also receive a 10,000-star boost, giving you a head start toward higher tiers.
Do Carnival Rewards points expire?
Points do not expire if you have any eligible qualifying activity within a three-year period; this includes earning or redeeming points, and each activity extends the expiration date by three years.
