Noordam Reviews

Ship is a smaller traditional cruise ship with all of the amenities of the newer larger ships but without being overcrowded and loud. Decor is very good but a refit is over due. Staff very professional. Cabin well thought out with a larger than expected balcony. Entertainment really good.

Noordam is excellent We had the best time . fantastic food and service. The crow nest is the best view point specially with glass wine. we had a lovely holiday. Well done Iglu.

We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise, but I have to say that the Noordam, has some of the most uncomfortable furniture, that I have ever encountered! The seats in the theatre being particularly bad. No wonder the shows were so poorly supported. The quality of the acts was also very disappointing. On the other hand the staff and the food were exceptionally good.

Friendly staff. A well maintained ship throughout. Good atmosphere. Staff captain and 3rd officer and cadet navigational talks each day, were brilliant Very good communication from the captain about the weather and course changes Capitol hotel and all transfers were were brilliant

It's not a 5 star ship, but definitely 4 star plus, great food, excellent staff and good evening entertainment , let down by mediocre daytime entertainment, and early closing of the bars ( the late bar closes at midnight), But all on all an enjoyable experience.

The cabin, staff and food were fantastic, the only down side was the entertainment and excessive cost of tours.

Crew superb from cabin to dining. Food ok but never hot. Short on cooked vegetables, and different offerings on port and starboard sides, Starboard side closed early. Entertainment very good in Rolling Stone and Billboard, Stage performers good and varied. Particularly Violinist and Nicola Ward who were excellent. Unlike our previous cruise on Noordam there was very little maintenance activity during days at sea. Ports visited varied, some well worth the stop others not so. most amazingly no trip organised to Mount Fuji.

Staff were wonderful, they went extra mile for everyone, nothing was too much. Special thank you to Subash and his Asian Team. However Noordam is old and showing signs of old ship, evening entertainment was limited and only showing 1 film a day. We have cruised several times on Arvia and Iona therefore probably used to newer ships. Customs services is fantastic, every member of staff were very helpful and always smiling. Thank you for wonderful cruise.

Service was good, but the weather could have been better. Prefer summer time cruises, but this was a winter cruise.
