Lovely ship. Excellent staff and service Superb BB kings and other great musicians singers and comedians. Great choice of food and Food choice of specially restaurants The only thing I was disappointed about was the return flight time we left the ship about 8 45am and did not fly until 1040pm so a long time was spent hanging around at the airport Why we couldn’t have had an early flight I don’t know as it was a very long day. However Air France via Paris to Manchester were very good

We’ve sailed several times with Holland America and we’ve never been disappointed. MS Koningsdam was the biggest ship so far. Embarkation in Miami went smoothly, no delays. Our cabin was conveniently located on deck 1 aft. Sufficient space and storage in the cabin for two people. Decor throughout the ship was a good standard and well maintained by the crew. Food in the restaurants was very good; particularly enjoyed the dining experience in the Tamarind and Rudi’s speciality restaurants. It was a bonus to have the BB Kings Blues Club AND the Rolling Stones Club. Two excellent live bands performing almost every night to a packed audience and a full dance floor! Frankie, Noelle and the BB Kings’ Blues Band were awesome. We book HAL cruises mainly for the BB Kings Blues Club entertainment. Very talented musicians.

My cruise with Holland America for the Southern Caribbean Seafarer was excellent. Every member of crew I saw was polite and had time for me, thank you. All ports scheduled were visited and our safety was first. Entertainment was excellent and everyone works hard to ensure all shows take place, thank you.

Comfortable ship with helpful and friendly crew. Talks on the cruise were very good and tailored to the trip. Plenty of tour options which made the most of the ports and local areas. Food in the restaurants was good, although the buffet area, although ok, could be better. Overall a well run ship.

Only my second time cruising so little to compare with, however the ship was well run clean, with helpful staff and good food. My only criticism would be the entertainment wasn’t that good, on board activities isn’t my interest but there was plenty to do if it was.

Excellent cruise. Ship, room services, food, all staff, punctuality and destinations all amazing. Really enjoyed everything about the cruise and our room service from Ary. His efficiency and dedication to his work was above and beyond at all times, nothing was too much trouble for him. Excellent!!!

Good size and clean stateroom, all round a good standard from onboard talks, entertainment, time in ports and spa. But, and it's a very big but, vegetarians are not catered for adequately. If you are vegan, bring your own food. When are cruise lines going to understand that being vegetarian is not a special diet and we need protein too!

On our first day I complained about the smell of diesel in our room and in the corridor leading to our room. My complaint was 'investigated' and a report was written ( I was not privy to the content of the report ). I complained on the second day as the smell had not gone away. Basically I was told there was no diesel smell therefore there was no problem. I was extremely annoyed by this decision. I was made to feel I was imagining the very unpleasant smell. I felt I had to put up and shut up ! My room number was 1190 - so I would suggest this area is avoided. With the exception of my complaint as on most cruise ships the service was very good. Food service was a little ' precious' with small portions being served to guests ( but of course you could ask for more). Bizarrely butter was like gold - it was hidden from sight and had to be asked for. Other food items were very difficult to access due to being behind glass. However this was probably more hygienic. The quality of the food was quite good but some meals were barely warm.

The ship experience was overall very good. Staff, food, etc. Areas to possibly improve would be more interesting and varied talks and music. All talks were done by Kaunai and Erin.
