Food was amazing no matter where you went to eat. Really pleased wth it. The service was 2nd to none aswel. Everyone happy n friendly. All staff were exceptional too

New Year cruise to Canaries and Madeira. We joined Explorer 2 in Tenerife. Ship clean and presentable in most areas. All staff very sociable, smiley and hard working. The captain was very visible and extremely sociable. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Special shout out for our cabin stewards Edmar, Cyrell and Mar. These stewards went above and beyond to ensure all our cabin needs were met. Well done. A thoroughly enjoyable cruise.

The cruise itself was an excellent experience over all,. Leaving port on both Xmas Eve & New Year Eve was a disappointment as we were given to understand that we would be able to observe fireworks around the ports on both occasions. Staff, entertainment were both excellent. However, the lack of TUI staff at both airports created mass confusion & late flights. In fact this has made us very wary of holidaying with TUI in future.

Great cruise staff as always brilliant

Overall a lovely cruise and mainly went for the New Year. We did have maintenance to mend the air con a couple of times, but never worked properly. The hair dryer blew up in my hand, which was replaced. I was not hurt. Deck 5 has a strange staircase and you end up not knowing which deck you're on. Because the weather wasn't good to us, we found the ship cold. We tried to watch a film in the Show Lounge one afternoon and it was freezing. The crew are amazing and friendly and can't do enough for you. We were on Deck 4 and found it noisy, due to engine/gangway clanging. We had one plug for a kettle, hairdryer and 2 mobile charges. The bathroom constantly smelt of drains. Is this ship ready for refurbishment?

The ship was clean the staff were friendly our cabin steward Daren was wonderful the shows were excellent especially Jack Green who was went end standard. We will be going sgsin

Ship layout disjointed. I found it hard to get around. Travelled on Discovery 2 previously and really enjoyed it, so was surprised to see how different Explorer 2 was. I expected a suite cabin to be well appointed. The sofa was positioned in a dark corner with no view of the sea, and was underneath the tv, so I had to sit on the bed to watch tv. The short duration clearly appealed to a different crowd, lots of drunken behaviour, The staff had a lot to put up with. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and courteous . The trip to Volcano was excellent, good value. Will probably not consider Marella again now. I had taken my daughter for a taster cruise, intending a full family cruise next year. Ive traveled with 4 other cruise lines so have a fairly balanced view. I like P&Os pricing where they give you an onboard spend rather than free drinks, I think this is a better option.

This was our first cruise , from start to finish everything went smoothly . The cabin crew can not do enough for you , always smiling and happy to chat . Plenty of restaurants to choose from , buffet style to waiter service . Food was of a very good standard . We went over the festive period and had a fabulous time . Captain Richard was such a lovely person who appreciates all of his staff . I would definitely sail with Marella again .
