Celebrity Solstice Reviews
View Cruise DealsJust spent an amazing 19 days on an amazing Asian adventure! The whole thing was magical from start to finish! We visited some fabulous places- Halong Bay is a must in Vietnam. The elephant sanctuary in Koh Samui was a never to forget moment with such gracious creatures. Gardens by the Bay in Singapore was stunning. The Botancial gardens & orchid gardens are a definite must to visit- stunning displays! Eating with the locals in Hong Kong was delicious. Celebrity Solstice was a very friendly ship with staff that were very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. We had an obstructed cabin - with no obstruction- marvellous! The food onboard was a delicious varied menu. The waiters each evening were a delight and looked after us very well. A big shout out to Rouwl & Riaz. The martini bar was a huge entertainment zone each evening. The BBC as we named then - Bali boys club were a delight. They gave great service whilst entertaining us all with their tricks! The sunset bar was a fabulous spot and a shout out to Sharlene & Dwi- they looked after us well and we had some lovely chats with them. The entertainment in the theatre was excellent, singers, magic and dancing! All in all the best holiday ever!!!!
Good Itinerary.
All fine other that incident where cupboard door 'held on with gaffa' tape came away from the cupboard. It was over the bed and I am not sure who thought replacing a hinge with tape was acceptable. Had we been in bed it could have caused a nasty injury.
Our third Celebrity cruise but the first for a few years. We enjoyed the whole experince so much that we have already booked a further two cruises with Celebrity, one of which will be on the newly refurbished Solstice. The service, the food, the whole ambience onboard was wonderful. Yes, you could tell that the ship needed a bit of TLC, but we knew beforehand that she was due for a refit. The itinerary is challenging as the major cities are miles away from the ports where you dock but you just need to be aware of this and go to bed early!
Ship showed signs of aging, great itinery, great service, great people on board. Very poor evening entertainment though. Overall from boarding to departing the ship, service and experiences on board and touring was very good. Our cabin steward Bijay, was fantastic and looked after us completely. from start to finish. Blu restaurant was a little crowded at times and beepers were used when popular times were full, food excellent, as usual.
We had aqua class cabin , clean and tidy unfortunately never met the cabin staff for the entire cruise !!! Food in Blu restaurant disappointing , not much choice , not always hot , we tended to choose off the main dining room menu as more choices available for us , Again food not always hot . Waiting staff were as usual amazing , nothing too much trouble, always eager to please , Entertainment mainly very good , Excursions not many suitable for mobility impaired guests !!!!!
Very well organised ship and crew. Comfortable and well equipped rooms. Excellent entertainment and very good food. Ours was the last cruise before a major refurbishment.
Embarkation was really organised lots of staff around to assist if required took around ten minutes.
Great cabin, lovely staff. Very easy to navigate your way around. Martini bar excellent service with great attention to detail of cocktails.
Ship was of reasonable quality knowing that it is due a refit after the voyage. Food in the restaurant not as good as previous cruises. Food in the buffet of better quality. Ports of call not good due to docking in working ports on most occasions.
