Whether you enjoy dining in the main restaurants, a specialty venue or something more casual, Ambassador Cruise Line's five restaurants are bound to please, offering both classic dishes and plates inspired by the destinations visited. If you find yourself feeling hungry during the day, or would like a spot to sit down for a tea or coffee, head to one of the two onboard cafés.
When it comes to restaurants included in your cruise fare, Ambassador Cruise Line won't disappoint. For formal, traditional cruise ship dining, head to the Buckingham Restaurant. Alternatively, if you're looking for something more relaxed, or you want to grab something to eat during the day, be sure to try out the Al Fresco Grill or the Borough Market food court.
As well as complimentary dining, there's also the chance to treat yourselves to something different in the onboard specialty restaurants. For those who love flavour-packed, Indian dishes, Saffron is a must-visit, while Sea and Grass is the perfect choice for steak lovers. However, if you're looking for a truly unforgettable dining experience, why not splash out on the Chef's Table, a VIP, multi-course evening meal cooked specially by the Executive Chef.
Aimed primarily at the over 50s, evening entertainment onboard Ambassador Cruise Line's ship is sophisticated and low-key, giving guests the chance to wind down after a busy day. As well as live shows and music at The Palladium, comedy at the Laughter Lounge or a visit to the Aces & Eights card room or Ambassador Casino, the nine lounges onboard provide the perfect setting to enjoy a drink or get to know other guests. Raffles is a sophisticated spot for evening cocktails, while the relaxed atmosphere in The Purple Turtle Pub is perfect for a pint. Other venues include Dicken's Bar, the Botanical Lounge, Consulate Bar and Pool Bar.

For those who enjoy staying active, onboard fitness facilities and classes will give you the chance to get up and moving, or treat yourself to a pampering session at the Wellness Centre.
Meanwhile, the thoughtful programme of daytime activities are the ideal opportunity to try something new and get to know others on the ship. It was my first ever cruise, and I was naturally a little apprehensive about everything. However, my first impressions were positive and encouraging, including driving to the port of Tilbury where the luggage was collected swiftly, we parked easily, just two minutes from the terminal. Having checked in at the desk, before we knew it, we were on board. Bliss. Our cabin, number 1128, was spacious, we had a balcony overlooking the aft of the ship, and we were quickly in holiday mode. We checked out the bars and restaurants and over the coming days we returned a few times to the Clifton Lounge on deck 6 and loved eating our breakfast outside, sitting by the Al Fresco Grill on deck 11. What struck me was the brilliance of the service, finding us a table in Buckingham Restaurant at the last minute, and being relaxed when we were 20 minutes late at Saffron. All in all a super festive weekend, very efficient, well organised and a great way to take a weekend break.
Staff Review - We fell in love with Ambition the minute we stepped on board. Everything is spacious, cheerful and relaxing. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. In particular we were blown away by the dinner on our first night at Saffron, and we haven’t stopped thinking about the Delhi Darbar Sweet Indulgence and the gorgeous flavours. I had a long and languorous couple of hours in the spa (we went immediately to make our booking on embarkation) and came away with lovely sparkly red nails for Christmas and a new friend in the expert therapist, Virginia. The evening entertainment in the Palladium was of an incredible standard. Our favourite was the West End tunes, including my top stand out - Les Mis! Sailing to Antwerp and back was smooth, even in our aft cabin. Louise, Marketing
Staff Review - I had a balcony cabin with lots of space and a nice bath and shower. I also loved the pillows! The main dining room’s food was amazing with lots of choice and Saffron is excellent for Asian food. During the afternoons and evenings my favourite spot was the Cavern for films, quizzes and bingo. This venue also had a good bar and a great atmosphere. The staff were also a real highlight - so friendly and attentive! Barbara, Sales
Staff Review - We had a Junior Balcony Suite, which had a very large walk-in wardrobe and a bath! Dining wise Saffron was a real highlight as the food was amazing and so authentic and a really good price point for a specialty restaurant, while The Buckingham was great for the breakfast buffet, as it was really good food and quick to help yourself. I also loved the spa because the steam room/sauna were complementary and the Pendennis bar as the drinks were amazing! I also enjoyed the entertainment in the evenings in The Cavern as they did amazing gameshows and the Palladium as the shows were excellent, especially the Magic of the Musicals performers. I also thought the complimentary canapes brought round to all the bars each evening at 11pm was a lovely touch. Sarah, Sales
