Odyssey of the Seas Reviews
View Cruise DealsLovely ship, well decorated, modern and clean with plenty of activities. Food was very good and the staff were pleasant and efficient. The only thing I would mention is the drinks are expensive and also the internet charges, something to bear in mind.
All the categories below are exceptional however I think the attitude, approach willingness of the crew was the thing that stood out the most. Thank you
Five star!
Love Royal Caribbean, loved Odyssey of the Seas. The production shows were amazing, as were all the Headliner Acts. The party band, Caribbean band and pianists in the schooner bar were all great and of course, the crew, particularly all the waiters in dining & the bars & our stateroom attendant were all phenomenal. The itinerary was excellent although very port intensive, in fact, we chose to stay on the ship on one day. The Greek Islands especially, were beautiful.
Superb ship, staff, only negative is drinks are so highly priced
Typical Royal Caribbean high quality product, great staff, great ship. Avoid cabin 7642, it’s tiny with no storage (not sure how this is marketed as a standard balcony), the ship is loud in parts particularly pool deck, and the Cruise Director was so annoying. I don’t understand why is RCI trying to follow Carnival in parts with cheap activity such as belly flops.
We booked a mini suite with a balcony which was wonderful. The ship itself was exceptional, every requirement catered for.
Amazing ship with good facilities and fantastic entertainment. Excursions expensive. Menu in main dining room repetitive with minimal daily changes which was disappointing.
Odyssey of the seas is probably the best cruise ship I’ve sailed on. This is my third royal (also previous sailed PO Iona/Azura NCL Star/Viva) and have been on similar ships from other brands. We booked a balcony cabin, located on deck 13 just under the teppenyaki/Windjammer. One standout thing about the cabin was you couldn’t hear any sounds from up down or around. Cabin was spacious and the views under the sheltered roof were perfect. The seaplex is the best I’ve ever seen. I was up there for most tournaments whilst the gf chilled on the balcony or the Solarium. The solarium an adults only area had 2 large hot tubs and a 3 tier pool. Waiter service was never to far in the communal areas, and if your sailing soon, Joey, Omo, Rich and Jomey on Sorrento bars are guaranteed to make your day, ask for a special cocktail! We did speciality but wasn’t very impressed, however, I did enjoy the wonderland experience, it offered ‘speciality’ in the experience. The MDR food was good, but was a little hit and miss with waiting and service times. Overall the ship is jam packed with offerings, fun and frolics; the headline shows were meh, although the special guests are a treat! The Greek islands where excellent and the shore ex (all from royal) where fab.
Iglu put together everything we needed so well. All drivers were there when we landed, docked and leaving hotel. Hotel was OK. Ship was lovely but overcrowded which meant it was very busy mealtimes. Lots of pressure to push specialty restaurants which are very over priced. I want to book a cruise and feel I don't have any added extras. Some of the entertainment that was put on was in a too smaller venue so chance of seating.
