Lovely well maintained and very clean ship. This was my first Marella ship and I will certainly return. Cruise director was excellent although was there to cover for a few weeks. The entertainment staff were all young,the waiters and cabin crew were mostly Indonesian and always smiley. Included meals were good but plain. There were other payable restaurants. Shows were good although two were a bit too modern for me. Overall an excellent cruise. Highly recommended.

First time on a Marella been on others before. I prefer smaller ships and this one is very easy to get around on. We enjoyed it very much. Lovely staff friendly passenger. Good excursions not too badly priced. Shame the baggage handler were on strike and our plane was delayed but that was out of Tui hands and i did get an email and text about it

Everything about the ship was brilliant. Excellent from transfer from Palma airport, checking in, service, food , drink, atmosphere on board etc. Been on Discovery and loved it. Discovery 2 is just as good if not better. Week went far too quick. Only blip was Ryanair on return flight at Palma airport. They had decided to change their app but didnt let anyone know in advance. No internet available in airport to change over led to total chaos trying to check bags in. Had reservations about Ryanair but decided to give them a chance. Big mistake, Will never ever use Ryanair again.

Ship lovely, food excellent good atmosphere every where you went

Beautiful ship Amazing crew Wonderful food Brilliant entertainment Considering it’s all inclusive why do you have to pay for water at the bar? Water refill stations on ship but when I’m dressed up for the evening I’m not carrying my refillable water bottle around! So odd, every all inclusive hotel I’ve been to has given water for free, surely it makes sense to stay hydrated when you are drinking alcohol?!

Lovely ship, crew & dining. Return coach to airport was poorly organised with a delay of 40mins.

Marella Discovery 2 is a lovely friendly ship. The crew go above and beyond to make your holuday perfect. The choice of restaurants was excellent as we sometimes struggled to find something we both liked in the main restaurant. However with the Italian restaurant, Piccadilly, Kora La and Surf n Turf we didn’t go hungry! The island buffet offered a good choice at breakfast, lunch and gad theme nights.

Had a wonderful time aboard D2 with friends. The food and service was very good especially our cabin cleaning team. Everybody crew wise on board cannot do enough to please you. We have done many cruises and find Marella very good value for money. We only did one excursion booked with the ship which was well organised but we find our own way using local taxis to visit beaches with no trouble and cost effective. The all inclusive drinks we find are more than adequate for our needs with decent quality. Our cabin was dated and in need of refurbishment but was again adequate as we only shower and sleep with little time spent in there. Would we book again? Absolutely 😎

Fantastic two weeks in the Caribbean, staff amazing, food very good, excursions ridiculously expensive, we had to start going on trips from the local ports which were half the price.

We have just returned from an absolutely wonderful cruise on Discovery 2, and we cannot speak highly enough about the entire experience. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations and made for a truly memorable holiday. A special mention must go to our cabin team - Hendar, Francisco and Johnson. They were absolutely fabulous throughout the cruise. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they kept our cabin spotless and beautifully organised every single day. Their friendly smiles and thoughtful touches really made us feel welcome and well looked after. It’s the small personal details that make such a difference, and they certainly delivered. The restaurant team - Mark, Sharlaine and Kyawt were equally amazing. The service was consistently attentive, warm and professional. They quickly got to know our preferences and always made dining a relaxed and enjoyable experience. It felt personal rather than routine, which we truly appreciated. The entertainment on board was fantastic. There was a great variety of shows and activities to suit all tastes, and the performers were extremely talented. Each evening felt special, and we found ourselves genuinely looking forward to what was coming next. The food throughout the cruise was excellent, with a wide and varied choice available every day. Whether at breakfast, lunch or dinner, there was always something delicious to try. The quality was consistently high, and everything was beautifully presented. We particularly appreciated the range of options catering to different tastes, ensuring there was something for everyone. Overall, we had an incredible 2 weeks on Discovery 2. The combination of outstanding staff, superb food, great entertainment and a lovely atmosphere made this a holiday to remember. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and would wholeheartedly recommend this cruise to anyone considering it. We would not hesitate to sail again!
