Brilliance of the Seas Reviews
View Cruise DealsEnjoyed the cruise, food and the staff were great, entertainment fell below to what we have seen on other Royal Caribbean ships. The ship itself is looking tired and in our view in need of a refurbishment, staterooms especially, (shower curtains in this day) we picked this cruise for the ports the ship visited, going back to the entertainment too many game shows, in our view a good band in the colony club nightly would be a great choice for all age groups. Example Asian Soul on princess cruises. Excursions very expensive, we didn’t our own thing
Brilliant cruise, staff brilliant, the reason I gave one star for excursions and activities is because I never used them. The reason I gave three star for cabin is because I got a solo cabin and it was very small but you only sleep there. Could not fault the ship at all. The drinks are extremely expensive but you get quite a few soft drinks free as I do not drink myself so it didn't cost me anything. Would I go again on another royal caribbean cruise yes of course I have already got another one booked for september
Friendliest staff, best food & entertainment ever.
Fabulous ship, at 90000 tonnes, this was the perfect size to access the Greek islands. The lounges and bars were beautifully decorated. The atrium with glass lifts and modern lighting was most impressive and was the hub of entertainment. We loved the Schooner Bar, and enjoyed listening to Nano Prado on the piano there each evening. The food was great. We did My Time dining, in the main dining room. Menus were varied and plenty of choices and had different themes each evening ( eg Italian, French, Mediterranean, Caribbean). We had lunches in the Windjammer buffet, which had a fantastic selection of food options. My only criticism was that after 3pm, you had the use the Park Cafe for food, which had a limited choice (the Windjammer closed at 3pm). This always put us under pressure to get back to the ship each day before 3pm in order to get into the Windjammer. Our cabin was well designed with plenty of storage. The crew worked very hard and gave excellent service. All of the ports we visited on our itinerary were fantastic too. We had a wonderful and memorable cruise and can’t wait to book another one!
Loved everything about the ship Great service perfect transatlantic crossing Entertainment exceptional all round , from the centrum, bars, and Theatre
A comfortable ship ,
We spent our cruise with Caribbean for the first time, we have cruised 6 times with other companies. Overall the food was good with good support for gluten free options. We found the noise generated around the pool by the music and in the centrum, to be extremely loud and we could not relax as it was overwhelming. We tried to use the Solarium but it was often overtaken by a large male group which became louder and louder. There were also many sunbeds reserved by towels despite a notice requesting not to. Our cabin was quite comfortable if a little tired looking, we fought with the sheets every night as they didn't seem to fit width ways, but we used our veranda often for quiet respite.
In principle we enjoyed our trip. We have sailed on Brilliance 10 & 18 years ago. She is a beautiful ship but you can see she getting old. I like the smaller RCI ships & this one is big enough. The food was fabulous & crew great as always. We had a cabin over casino which was very noisy. Guest services moved us to a quiet & bigger cabin. I felt that RCI is skimping on things - there was no bubbly at Captains welcome & the headliner entertainment was not as good as previous cruises. The Royal singers & dancers were great. Jugglers & American comics not so good. Trivia was brilliant. I wish they would get rid of the smokie casino. In terms of the travel it was disappointing that BA changed the outbound flight & it would have been wonderful to have had a night in New Orleans after the cruise. Transfers were perfect. We are testing other cruise lines & so far Viking Ocean is good.
Ship was good and clean staff amazing food very good the shows were not great and Progreso port of call was rough
Loved the size of the ship. We did a great pre cruise tour of the Sydney Opera House which was excellent. All our transfer were taken care of for us by Iglu.
