Melbourne Grand Prix 2024

The thrilling Melbourne F1 Grand Prix took place on 22nd March 2024 at the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit. Spanning four exhilarating days, it featured not only the Formula 1 season, but the supporting Formula 2 and Formula 3. With 16 turns, the temporary circuit has hosted 26 Grand Prix races throughout the years, with Michael Schumacher and Lex Davison having the most success on the track, with 4 wins respectively.

Although a lot of the track is public roads, there are several key features of the track designed to provide racers with a thrilling experience. For example, there is a widened section before the penultimate turn, which has created a flowing set of corners, and multiple driving lanes in turn 3, 11 and 13.

A variety of cruise lines offer getaways that stop off in Melbourne during the Grand Prix. Giving you a chance to explore this captivating city prior to or after the race weekend, you'll get the best of both worlds; an unforgettable cruise and an exhilarating F1 experience!

Monaco F1 Grand Prix 2024

Monaco may be the world’s second smallest country, but it is definitely the world’s most extravagant. Located on the sunny French Riviera, Monaco is famous for its dazzling harbour, elegant Belle Époque casino, lavish restaurants and its royal monarchy.

The Monaco GP remains the crown jewel of the F1 calendar. Its glitz and glamour, stunning backdrops, renowned history and revered principality make it Formula One's most glamorous event. The excitement of the Grand Prix hits fever pitch when race day in Monaco comes around.

The thrilling action on the track is matched by the exciting party atmosphere taking place around it. The Monaco GP has been a fixture on the calendar since 1929. The street circuit takes six weeks to set up prior to the race weekend, and is set along the Principality's famous streets that exude timeless charm.

A narrow course with elevation changes and tight corners, overtaking is difficult-enough here without the challenge the tunnel represents. The contrast of light to dark presents challenges that are not faced on other tracks as the drivers have to adjust their vision as they emerge from the tunnel at the fastest point on the track and brake for the chicane in the daylight.

This makes it one of the most demanding tracks in Formula One. The circuit is famed for its narrow unforgiving track and the difficulty of overtaking. Race goers can expect a thrilling race which every driver dreams of winning. Past winners of this race include: Moss, Hill, Senna, Schumacher and Hamilton.

Similarly to the Melbourne F1 Grand Prix, there's a selection of cruise lines that offer cruise holidays that stop off in this bustling city during the Grand Prix season. Giving you the flexibility to spend a night or two in Monaco, you'll get to explore the glamorous streets and enjoy the races in the same getaway!

One of our staff members, Laurianne got to experience this captivating race in the past. Here's what she had to say about it:

"The best part of the Formula 1 Monaco cruise experience was sitting in the Grandstand and having an amazing view of the pits because of our amazing package perks. My top tip is to stay in Nice, it's only 25 minutes on the train to Monaco and considerably cheaper. You also get a chance to explore the city the day before!"
