After almost forty years of service, Saga Sapphire will be retiring from the Saga fleet following her final voyage in May 2020.

A timeless ship with a modern twist, Saga Sapphire offers a classic yet modern cruising experience. The contemporary and informal atmosphere onboard the Saga Cruises' ship is a pleasant delight for many guests, especially coupled with the incredible amenities and all-inclusive luxury that Saga showcases on Saga Sapphire.

Accommodating no more than 720 guests and with a crew to guest ratio of 2:3, Saga Sapphire's dedicated staff provide a welcoming and personalised service for all onboard.

As you cruise far and wide through the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Fjords and beyond, spend your time onboard relaxing by the quirky Beach Club swimming pool, getting a treatment at the state-of-the-art Aqua Spa with its steam rooms, sauna and heated pool, or even watch a film in your generous and spacious cabin, where suite owners can enjoy an extra special mini-bar and butler service.

Ship Facilities

Pole to Pole - A large 620 seat restaurant styled to represent four different continents - Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. Enjoy elegant and open or fixed seating, simply choose your zone and try a menu of finely prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner options.

East to West - The ship's specialty restaurant with a mere 40 seats available for reservation at no extra charge. Experience sumptuous Oriental flavours in a traditional Asian-themed environment.

Verandah and Grill - Enjoy casual dining at the Verandah and Grill, a restaurant that serves continental breakfasts, buffet lunches and waiter-served dinners to a total of 200 guests - 100 inside the restaurant, and another 100 outside on the alfresco verandah.

For a special treat, enjoy a delicious selection of sandwiches and cakes for afternoon tea and relax onboard with unlimited tea, coffee and fruit juices in selected venues.

Excellent activities and entertainment can be found onboard Saga Sapphire with a host of things to see and do. Daytime entertainment consists of dance classes, quizzes and music recitals in the Britannia Lounge, and the evening comes to life with live music and theatre.

During a day at sea feel the sea breeze with crazy golf on top deck or sit back with a book and a cocktail with some soothing live music in the classic Drawing Room.

Saga Sapphire's gym will ensure you can keep up your daily routine, while a number of different sports and games are available for lighter exercise and fun, such as crazy golf, table tennis or shuffleboard.

The Aqua Spa is a luxurious haven for relaxation, including the full experience. From treatment and steam rooms, to the sauna and heated pool, you'll feel completely pampered by the selection of body wraps, manicures and hairdressing options available to you.

Wonderful fairy tale cruise. Amazing staff. very comfortable cabin - tea in bed in the morning. Fantastic sights. Food was out of this world and we loved dressing up for the formal nights. Lots to do, good shopping on board. Met loads of lovely people. Door to door service was excellent. Our cabin steward was very attentive This cruise was faultless , thank you.

The most wonderful service from a Phillipino crew who were unbelievably attentive and polite. The cabin was excellent, The food was the best I've ever had on a ship. We were lucky with the weather too.

Excellent cruise The staff couldn't do enough for me..Food was excellent plenty of choices.Disapointed most of the people on the cruise had paid a lot less for the same cruise.
