Lots of exercise classes that were free in the morning. Enjoyed the 3D films. stateroom was done efficiently every time. Free room service in the mornings ,great to put drinks in fridge and a quick breakfast. Very breezy outside, gym was small and busy, so need to go early. Great if you can ballroom dance but lots of space in each lounge. Healthy light bites were good in Corinthia, pizza and burger bar is available certain times. Small portions in brittania restaurant which allows you to try buffets etc. nice people as well as all the staff on ship. planetarium not working, library and puzzles set up. Biggest wellness centre seen on a cruise ship. Unusually nice to see the dogs and kennels on the ship.

This was our 11th cruise on QM2 . Mostly it was as enjoyable as usual but we did notice a reduction of choice on the evening menu, there were less ‘luxury’ type items available without cost i. e . Lobster tails . The service was impeccable from all waiters, we received fabulous service in the Golden Lion and especially in the evening restaurant service was wonderful . One thing we were upset about was lack of interesting speakers in the Royal Court theatre - in the past we’ve had Sir Jackie Stewart, Roger McGuinn and Nikki Chapman. Finally disembarkation was a total farce . Usually it’s done during the week with small groups at a time - perfect . But some ‘bright spark’ decided it was best to do it all at once on the day we arrived home . I wouldn’t even call it organised chaos ! Being disabled it was very difficult for me to walk and stand in long queues - extremely painful for me ! I suspect that move was money oriented! Having said all that I’m sure we’ll cruise again with QM 2. The ship itself is so beautiful and we feel very much at home and it’s very unusual for us to complain but felt these issues were big enough to justify us to mention.

First time on Cunard and it was only OK. We did 7days transatlantic and due to poor weather and strong winds we were unable to go out on deck……a very few hardy souls did and were nearly blown away! We bought a soft drinks package which covered the drinks and coffee outside of meal times. But we had the temerity to order a Latte! Oh no, this was priced at $5 and the package only allowed $4. 50. We tried a fruit juice! Oh no, these were $5 too and the only fruit juice available was from the machine in the buffet which never changed offering only Cranberry or Lemonade, Let’s not forget the mandatory 18% service charge added if we dipped into our savings for a $5 latte or juice. Cabin was fine and the cabin steward Ali was particularly helpful. Buffet was very repetitive. Meals in the dining room were ok but not really ‘fine dining’ and rarely more than warm. The theatre shows were ordinary, no props , just an empty stage with the singer, musician, comedian or dancers. Duo Yalba were the best, by far. We’ve cruised extensively for over 20 years and this was just ordinary.
