Arcadia Reviews
View Cruise DealsBest parts were our lovely balcony cabin and the dining room. I don't think much of the food was prepared on the ship it seemed warmed up frozen. All the cakes were so identical. The vegetables were generally poor and the meat good. The staff were lovely. Breakfast in our cabin was always spot on ! My biggest disappointments were that half of the shaded area at the back pool was given over to smoking the smell from which was awful. It was difficult to sit in the shade. The lovely lady teaching bridge was not teaching the English version so too confusing. Soot from the stack was a trouble on our balcony and the rear pool where the beds were dirty. The coffee bar and atrium are not as impressive as other ships. Whilst the music on stage was good the musicians around the ship were not. The only music I enjoyed in the crows nest was when the orchestra performed. A shame because it is a lovely spot. Formal nights were nothing special but we did have some lovely events related to Baltic Class membership. A highlight was Michelle's port talks and guide to Excursions which contained so much information. As she explained the standard of tours varies around the world. How good they were depended very much on the guide you had.
Lovely ship, large enough to have what you need but small enough to feel special. Perhaps a little dated in places but we are none of us getting any younger. Staff are amazing and go the extra mile - they know your name and your likes and dislikes and always have a smile. So professional and hard working! The organisation of embarking/disembarking and tours is impeccable even when timings go wrong outside of their control. Shop prices can make you wince so best to stock up on snacks etc whilst off ship 😜😜
Excellent size ship. Superb since refit. Food is excellent and well presented. Staff are obviously well trained. Professional and helpful and courteous. Cabin steward and bar staff best in class. Thoroughly enjoyable cruise & can’t wait to book again.
Arcadia is a lovely smaller ship. It has a good layout. Love that it is adult only as it makes your holiday more relaxing. It has plenty of space for sunbeds. Facilities are good. The theatre is beautiful Only downside for me personally was the food. I did a long 54 night cruise and the menu was very repetitive. Too many rice / curry options for me too spicy
I loved the cruise. Good size ship and not too big. Marvellous staff and food was first rate. Excellent service for gluten free and thanks to Giford and dining staff especially Rachel Anne and Marie on the dining room front desk. Cabin kept immaculately clean by Manoje. Enjoyed the entertainment and my husband enjoyed the competitive table tennis. Ports were excellent and interesting especially Singapore and Capetown.
Very Good
Lovely service from start to finish. Really enjoyed went far to quick
We have just come home from 7 nights on the Arcadia,we went as a large family group, we had a lovely break, staff were very friendly and worked very hard, food was of very good quality, Our rooms were comfortable but a little dated,we had 3 adults in our balcony room and it was a squash. The entertainment could have been a lot better but we really enjoyed the Dolly Parton act ,overall we had a lovely holiday.

Ship was always spotless, loads of activities every sea day with fabulous entertainment and so lucky with calm seas and great weather - would have loved to stay on board for longer
