Great ship, very clean. Great crew very friendly and happy. Great service and excellent choice of food and drinks. Plenty of entertainment , shows were top quality and seating arrangements plenty of elbow room. My only gripe was the intermittent banging noise that we could hear every night in our cabin on deck 4

Thank you, Marella Explorer 2, for an amazing first cruise holiday!
From the moment we stepped on board in Dubrovnik, we were made to feel incredibly welcome, and we were even more pleased when we saw our room. The entertainment throughout the week was fantastic, and all of the staff consistently went above and beyond to make us feel at home wherever we were on the ship.
There were a few members of the team who particularly helped make our holiday so enjoyable:
Limbu at the Flutes Bar was always incredibly friendly when serving our drinks and was more than happy to have a chat about how our day had been.
Roy was also fantastic and always so helpful, making sure we were well looked after each evening.
Kieron at the golf was brilliant. Each day he ran a really well-organised nearest-the-pin competition that was enjoyable for both experienced golfers and those picking up a club for the first time. It was a great way to get involved and have some fun.
We first met Will at the sail-away party before seeing him again at the darts the following day. His darts tournament was actually the first activity we took part in on board, and it really encouraged us to get involved in even more activities throughout the week.
And last, but certainly not least, Lara and The Collective. We genuinely felt like we were following them around the ship all week simply because we loved their gigs so much! Lara was absolutely hilarious on stage, and the contrast between her and James Brown made the performances even better. Lara honestly made our week at the cruise, we were there for the majority of her performances and her beautiful singing voice as well as glowing personality was perfect. They were definitely one of the highlights of our week.
All in all, we had an amazing week away. As first-time cruisers, we weren’t quite sure what to expect, but our experience on Marella Explorer 2 has left us certain that this won’t be our last cruise.
Thank you to everyone on board for making our first cruise such a memorable one. We’ll definitely be back!
