Princess Cruises' guests toasting to their holiday

Updated: August 2024

If you’re thinking about booking a Princess Cruises’ getaway in the near future, you might be considering purchasing a drinks package. A great way to enjoy a variety of drinks on your cruise holiday, once you’ve purchased a drinks package, you won’t have to worry about buying individual drinks on your sailing.

And with Princess Cruises’ drinks packages, you’ll have the flexibility to choose from a variety of options, whether you’re looking for one that only includes soft drinks or a package that also includes alcohol. You’ll also be able to use your drinks package, regardless of which one you choose on Princess Cruises’ private island resort, Princess Cays.

Onboard Princess Cruises, in certain areas of the ship (such as in the buffet), you’ll have access to tap water, iced tea, tea, brewed coffee, milk and fruit juices that are included in your cruise fare.

Alternatively, if you choose a Princess Plus fare, you’ll have a Plus Beverage Package (drinks up to a value of $15 included). Or if you opt for a Princess Premier fare, you’ll have a Premier Beverage Package (drinks up to a value of $20 each). This can be a great way of budgeting for some of the extra charges on a cruise ship you need to know about, too.

Let’s guide you through the different Princess Cruises’ drinks packages, including the prices per day, inclusions and other useful information.

Is it Worth Buying a Drinks Package on Princess Cruises?

If you want peace of mind and to know that you don’t have to pay out for a drink each time you want one on your cruise, a drinks package is a flexible and convenient way to enjoy your favourite tipple. However, it is also worth researching the prices of the individual drinks ahead of time, to see if it’s worth it for your personal preferences.

You may also want to consider upgrading your Princess Cruises fare to Princess Premier, which comes with the Premier Beverage Package. This is actually available at a total price $10 less than the Premier Beverage Package is available individually, costing just £75 per person per day. So, even if you don't like the look of the other benefits, it's already a saving of $10 per person per day, at least.
