Today's Civitavecchia was born as an Etruscan village along the Tyrrhenian coast, but it is believed that the territory has been inhabited since the Neolithic era. The first documents mentioning the city date back to the year 107 AD; the same as the construction of the port which ended three years later. During a stop in Civitavecchia you can visit the Taurine Baths, the Michelangelo Fort, and the Cathedral.

Made famous by its sloping bell tower, Pisa was once a simple but noteworthy port town. Over the years Pisa had some involvement in Italy’s military conflicts, and has seen success in matters of trade. Today most visitors come to see the fascinating Leaning Tower; a construction dating back to the 12th century that has been repeatedly repaired and stabilised over the years. As well as this is the neighbouring cathedral and baptistery, and the pretty Square of Miracles which houses them all. Pisa has a brilliant culinary scene, with many inexpensive restaurants serving amazing antipasti, pizzas, pastas, and other hearty Italian dishes.

That doesn’t mean you won’t find any modern comforts here, though; while you’re sightseeing, you can expect to enjoy flavourful food from fantastic restaurants, comfortable cafes, and more. Sitting on Spain’s southern coast, the Port of Cádiz is also a short trip from Seville – a stunning Spanish city boasting its own unique culture and unique historical landmarks. Amazing experience in a Continental Suite - super comfortable and the increase in space was worth it. The food in Acquilina was very very good. The only Negative comment is that the service on the rear of the cafe in the evening was very poor. On a warm evening it is a wonderful place to have dinner but we repeatedly had to ask for drinks and the waiters attitude was not good. Not enough waiters there.

We had a really enjoyable time on the Azamara Onwars, Greek Island cruise. The staff are just fantastic, the best ever and nothing is too much trouble. Still smiling on the last day, when they must be exhausted and getting ready for the next lot of passengers. The food is greaat and we met lots of lovely people. The rooms are small and the bathrooms are tiny, but this is our third cruise and it doesn't bother us in the slightest.

Loved the small ship experience. We had a suite, which was beautiful, but it's the fabulous crew and the superb food that really made it a great cruise. Didn't join any of the excursions so can't really offer an opinion.

Absolutely incredible. A first class, upper premium cruise line with stunning small ships! Food was the best, crew were the best, itinerary was incredible and the smaller ports were superb where the big ships can’t go! Ship looked brand new despite it being built in 1999. It must have had a full refit when Azamara got it as it was really modern and super well maintained and looked after. Having sailed with P&O and Princess cruises for many years this was simple on a whole next level up!
