19 Jul 2026
Our first cruise and what a fabulous experience. We learnt a lot about cabins and packages. Booked a mini suite but would have been more than happy with unobstructed balcony. Also premium package, although we used everything we didn't really need some options. We tried all the speciality restaurants, our favourite being the Crown Grill but we actually cancelled some evenings as food is in abundance everywhere. The Estrella dining area or the Bistro/buffet has a great selection of food which is included in base fare. The Catch by Rudi and Sabbatinis is situated above the main area and we did find the loyd music encroached on what should be a relaxing dining experience. We did make use of the premium drinks but would have been more than happy with the plus package. Also we did not put full use of the wi fi as we only had two devices. Our steward was more than helpful topping up tea/coffee daily. Ensuring bottles of water available and ice.
Princess excursions are very expensive. We did two booked via Princess, one excellent, one not so good. Booked through Viator for two other excursions, again one good, one not so good. Worth reviewing previous guests experiences before booking.
The boarding and embarking process was extremely smooth and efficient, puts airports to shame. The cruise we did was Norwegian Fjords and Iceland. Whilst I enjoyed the whole experience I would return to Norway in a heartbeat but Iceland, been there, done that. We took the offer of booking future cruise credit of 100 dollars each on board which has been allocated to our next cruise with Sky Princess September 2027. So much more information but it would take me all day
