First time on a small ship, we will never go on anything else in future.
From embarkation to the end absolute luxury, in terms of service, food, drinks and space, we never once queued for a lift, had trouble in finding a table at restaurants.
Absolutely loved being able to eat at anytime you wanted to, and able to do,it outside.

If Seabourn is not perfection, then I do not know what is. It was some years since I had travelled with them and it was good to see that their standards had not slipped. The food on board was simply outstanding. The ports visited were pretty ordinary, but this was to be expected as I think that technically this was a repositioning cruise. Thanks to everyone concerned for a great two weeks.

A visit to the Kingston and Arthur's Vale Historic Area (KAVHA) is a journey through the hauntingly beautiful layers of Norfolk Island’s past. As you wander among the massive Georgian stone ruins and perfectly preserved officers' houses on Quality Row, the contrast between the brutal history of the British penal colony and the stunning turquoise backdrop of Emily Bay is striking. This UNESCO World Heritage site serves as a living museum, where you can explore the remnants of convict barracks and the salt house while learning how the descendants of the Bounty mutineers later transformed these ruins into a vibrant community. It is a rare, evocative landscape where dark colonial shadows meet the serene natural beauty of the South Pacific.
Norfolk Island National Park
A visit to Norfolk Island National Park offers a deep immersion into a prehistoric landscape, dominated by the iconic, towering Norfolk Island pines and the world’s tallest tree ferns. Walking the Bridle Track or the Palm Glen circuit, you are surrounded by a lush, subtropical canopy that feels untouched by time, with the air filled with the songs of rare endemic birds like the vibrant Green Parrot. Reaching the summit of Mount Pitt or Mount Bates rewards you with breathtaking 360-degree views where the emerald island meets the endless blue of the Pacific. It is a tranquil, wild sanctuary that perfectly captures the unique biodiversity and rugged volcanic beauty of this remote island outpost.
Emily Bay
A visit to Emily Bay is a highlight of any trip to Norfolk Island, offering a serene escape into one of the South Pacific's most beautiful lagoons. Protected by a natural coral reef, the bay’s crystal-clear, turquoise waters remain incredibly calm, making it a safe haven for swimming and snorkelling directly off the soft white sand. As you float in the gentle current, you can spot vibrant coral formations and a variety of tropical fish, all while framed by a backdrop of towering Norfolk Island pines and the historic stone ruins of the nearby Kingston settlement. It is a rare place where pristine natural beauty and deep colonial history meet, providing a tranquil spot that feels both timeless and untouched.

Established in 1872, the Colo-i-Suva Forest Park is part of the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy – a network of forest conservation programmes developed in 2015 to help protect the natural landscape of Commonwealth countries – and a stunningly beautiful palace to visit when in Suva. Home to a variety of hiking trails, the opportunity to swim, and plenty of birds to spot with your binoculars, everyone can enjoy spending some time here. Among the native flora here, of which there is a lot to admire, you’ll also find some African Mahogany, which was planted here throughout the 1940s and 1950s.
Suva Fiji Temple
A rather recent addition to the architecture of Suva, having only been completed in 2000, the Suva Fiji Temple is a remarkable temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the first of its kind to be built in Fiji. Designed with traditional designs and styles in mind, it’s located at one of the highest points in the city and features a 72-foot tall spire. With subtle nods to the local culture alongside the broader symbolism utilised by the Church, it’s a sight worth seeing and stands out against much of Suva’s other architecture.
Fiji Museum
Sitting in the heart of Suva’s Thurston Gardens, stunning botanical gardens worth visiting in their own right, the Fiji Museum is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in learning more about Fiji and Fijian culture. It’s home to the most important collection of Fijian artefacts in the world, with exhibitions showing off a variety of items of historic importance – from authentic canoes and objects related to cannibalism, to contemporary artwork and more.

International Dateline (Gain a Day) - Crossing
An imaginary line running from the North Pole to the South Pole, crossing this during your westward voyage means you technically gain a calendar day – something that will also impact the time zone you’re in. It shouldn’t affect you too much as you cross, but it’s something to keep in mind when you reach your next destination.
