The Helsinki Cathedral is a Finnish Evangelical Lutheran cathedral of the Diocese of Helsinki and is situated in Senate Square in the neighbourhood of Kruununhaka. The church was initially constructed between 1830 and 1852 as a memorial to Tsar Nicholas I of Russia, the Grand Duke of Finland.

In the National Museum of Finland you’ll find an array of artefacts dating all the way back to the Stone Age. Objects which showcase Finland’s fascinating cultural history, it’s housed within an impressive building designed in a romantic, Finnish national style.

The Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma is located within Mannerheimintie in Helsinki. A quirky, modern building, it forms part of the Finnish National Gallery and houses contemporary art from an array of different international artists.

Situated within a 18th-century Baroque palace, the Kadriorg Art Museum showcases international art dating between the 16th and 20th century. Built in 1725, the art museum was designed by Mikhail Zemtsov and Gaetano Chiaveri.

Taillin’s largest orthodox church, the Aleksander Nevski Katedraal is situated in the heart of the city. Built by Mikhail Preobrazhensky in an extraordinary and colourful Russian style, it dates to the late 19th century and is still an active church on Toompea hill.

If you want breathtaking views of Tallinn, head up the Tallinn Tv Tower. An impressive structure and landmark, it soars 314m in the air and features a viewing platform on the 21st level with glass flooring.

One of most impressive palaces in Europe, the Royal Palace of Stockholm holds the majority of the monarchy's formal receptions year-round, as well as being the King of Sweden's official home. The palace, designed to resemble a Roman palace, was constructed in the baroque style by architect Nicodemus Tessin. With a state apartment overlooking the city and smaller living rooms facing the inner courtyard, the palace includes more than 600 rooms spread across eleven storeys.

One of the most upscale parks in the city is DBW Park, which is situated on the shore of the Baltic Sea. In addition to several walking and jogging trails, and a variety of native and foreign species, this botanical park also has lush trees and vibrant flowers. A short journey from Visby is the Kneippbyn theme park. Full of waterslides, rides and live performances throughout the day, it’s inspired by the iconic Pippi Longstocking films and is a fun day out for all the family.

The Lummelunda Cave is situated in a nature preserve north of Visby on the Swedish island of Gotland. One of the longest caverns in Sweden, the investigated portion of this karst cave is nearly 4.5 km long.

Initially established in 1953, and now housed in the same building as the Gdynia City Museum, the Navy Museum in Gdynia is a must-visit destination for history fans and features some incredible exhibits and artefacts from the Second World War. Alongside the world’s only preserved German BT 1,000 rocket-powered bomb torpedo, you’ll also find ORP Blyskawica, one of two Grom-class Polish destroyers and the oldest preserved destroyer-class battleship in the world. Introduced in 1937, this ship was in active service until 1976.

The oldest church in Gdansk, St. Catherine’s Church is a Brick Gothic-style structure that was built between 1227 and 1237, having since gone through several expansions and renovations over the centuries. It’s home to the world’s first pulsar clock, which is a clock that uses pulsar signals from outside our Solar System to keep time, and an impressive art gallery in its attic.

Part of the Royal Route through Gdansk, this medieval market square in central Gdansk is home to numerous notable buildings, of which the 15th-century Town Hall is among the most famous, and Neptune’s Fountain, a fountain constructed in 1617; you’ll also find Green Gate here, a building built to serve as the formal residence of Polish monarchs in 1568.

Aarhus is home to the ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum. One of the most popular and significant attractions in the city, the museum was founded in 1859 and is the first public art museum outside of Copenhagen in Denmark. Known for its colourful walkway, it has an array of different artworks to see.

The Little Mermaid, a gift from Danish brewer Carl Jacobsen to the City of Copenhagen, was unveiled on August 23, 1913 and is located on Langelinie Pier.

Situated in the centre of Copenhagen, Tivoli Gardens is a theme park with rides, a beautiful lake, shops, cafes and more. The third-oldest operational amusement park in the world, it dates back to 1843. A magical attraction that’s worth a visit when you’re in Copenhagen, it has something for all ages.
